Hyacinth, a herbaceous bulbous plant for many years, is the most fragrant variety of flowering plants found in the study. So when does hyacinth blossom? How long is the florescence? How to plant it? Next, let's take a look at:

one。 When will hyacinth blossom?

Hyacinth is suitable for planting in fertile, well-drained sandy soil, avoid too wet or sticky soil. Hyacinth bulbs have the habit of dormancy in summer, take root in autumn and winter, and sprout in early spring. Usually planted in October, hyacinth bulbs grow to 19 cm before they can blossom, and generally bloom from February to April next year. In the process of growth, the bulb grows best at 2-6 ℃. The optimum temperature for bud germination was 5: 10 ℃, the optimum temperature for leaf growth was 10: 12 ℃, and the most favorable temperature for budding and flowering was 15: 18 ℃. The storage temperature of bulb is 20-28 ℃, and the optimum storage temperature is 25 ℃, which is the most ideal for flower bud differentiation.

two。 How long is the florescence?

The flowering hyacinth blossoms for about a month, and wither faster when the temperature is higher, so keep it as low as possible after flowering.

If it is soil-raised, it can continue to blossom in the second year, provided that the cultivation process requires topdressing; generally, it is not recommended to leave seeds.

three。 How to plant it?

Hyacinth cultivation can be divided into water culture and soil culture.

1. Essentials of water cultivation of hyacinth:

a. There should be 1cm-2cm space on the water surface from the bottom of the bulb. Do not submerge the water over the bottom of the bulb.

b. The water temperature should not be high, and it is better to be below 15 ℃.

c. Put the bulb on the bottleneck, and after sending the root, the water level can be lowered to just touch the water surface of the root, so that the root can fully absorb oxygen and promote the growth of the root. When the root develops, the black cloth covers the culture container and allows the bulb to develop further.

d. Don't expose the bulbs to direct sunlight before sprouting.

e. Put it in the shade when the bud grows five centimeters, put it in a warm place without direct sunlight after the root is fully grown, and often add water to soak the bulb.

f. When leaves and buds grow, bask in the sun for one or two hours a day to make their leaves and pedicels strong; adjust one direction every day so that they do not grow to one side. There is no need to fertilize, there will be a bright and fragrant wind fairy in March or April of the following year.

g. When the temperature in your home is kept between 17 °C and 20 °C, you will enjoy the process of bud growth and coloration. But do not put them directly near the heat source, so that the beautiful hyacinth flowers can extend the opening time.

h. Change the water every day of the week, the nutrient solution depends on the degree of turbidity and keep the water quality in the bottle clean.

two。 The essentials of cultivating hyacinth in soil:

a. If the hyacinth you get has already grown roots and leaves, and you like to grow flowers with soil, you can still choose potted plants.

b. Select well-growing hyacinth bulbs and plant them in loose culture soil. Use 50% mixture of peat and large-grained perlite or coarse sand.

c. Inserting the seed ball into the substrate with a little effort, and then thickening the river sand at 3 places from the top of the seed ball and exposing the soil layer at the top of the ball will be more beneficial to the growth and development of the seed ball.

d. The number of bulbs planted varies from 1 to 3 depending on the size of the basin.

e. Attention should be paid when planting: the upper end of the bulb should be exposed to the basin soil, should be placed in the sun after planting, and should keep the basin soil moist. The temperature required to promote flowering is 5: 10 ℃.

It should also be noted that hyacinth is in great need of light and moisture, if the lack of light, or long-term dryness in winter, will lead to poor flowering, the need for adequate irrigation to maintain humidity. If it is found that the flower stem is too short to stretch, it can be placed in the shade for several days to promote its overgrowth, waiting for the flower stem to protrude and then grow normally. As for color, hyacinth has white, pink, pink, purplish red, purple blue, yellow and other varieties, the cultivation method is the same.

Hyacinth flower words: victory, competition, joy, love, happiness, affection, admiration, stubbornness, life, complacency, everlasting remembrance.
