At present, many farmers judge whether a fertilizer is good or bad, which is a very serious misunderstanding in the use of fertilizer. in fact, on the contrary, the one with quick effect is not necessarily a good fertilizer. The effective time of fertilizer is related to the content of various elements, the method of application, the type of fertilizer, etc., but generally speaking, only the pursuit of fertilizer with immediate effect will certainly cause damage to the growth of crops in other places.

1. What takes effect quickly is not necessarily a good fertilizer.

This pursuit of quick-effect psychology is caused by the vast number of farmers' lack of fertilizer knowledge and low planting level. Although some fertilizers are effective, they are often ignored by farmers because of their slow performance and lack of immediate results. On the other hand, some fertilizers which are high in hormones or nitrogen are favored by many farmers because of their quick effect.

Generally speaking, the fertilizer effect periods of chemical fertilizer products are as follows (for reference only):

Ammonium bicarbonate took effect on the same day, and the fertilizer effect period was 15 days.

Ammonium chloride was effective in three days, the fertilizer effect period was 25 days, and the fertilizer was removed in the later stage.

Urea is effective in seven days, and the fertilizer effect period is 45 days.

The compound fertilizer is effective in ten days, and the effective period is 90 days.

Biological fertilizer is generally effective in about a month, but the effect is not obvious in crops with a long growth cycle, but the fertilizer effect can last for 6-8 months.

Hormones themselves do not have much nutrition, which is of little practical help to increase production; fertilizers need long-term supply, and it is best to apply them according to the physiological characteristics of crops in different periods, so there is no need to blindly pursue quick-availability.

two。 Inferior fertilizer has a great influence.

In order to cater to the "quick effect" mentality of vegetable farmers, many unscrupulous manufacturers overadd hormones in flushing fertilization to reduce the content of nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, putting the cart before the horse. This kind of hormone fertilizer can be effective for 1 to 2 days after application, and the surface effect is very obvious. for example, the leaves and stems grow rapidly, the fruit expands quickly, and there are many results. Vegetable farmers think that this is a very effective fertilizer and a "good fertilizer". Results after continuous use for 2 or 3 times, it was found that the leaves at the bottom of the plant were yellow, the stem was thin and weak, and the fruit growth was poor. The normal growth period of vegetables and the fruit picking period are seriously shortened, which is the consequence of hormone abuse.

Few farmers have noticed that the application of this kind of fertilizer often causes problems such as crop growth, poor flower bud differentiation and premature senescence, which reduces the overall yield. In particular, after the biological fertilizer is applied in the soil, it takes a process for the bacteria to adapt to the soil environment and reproduce. If the temperature is relatively low, the effect will be slower, but it should not be regarded as a bad fertilizer. Even, some crops in the use of biological fertilizer, the early growth is not as good as the normal use of fertilizer, especially wheat and some vegetables that need to be transplanted, what is the reason?

The growth of crops is regular, only with deep roots can leaves flourish, rooting in the early stage, long stems in the middle stage, and fruit in the later stage. If the use of fertilizer is unreasonable or hormones are used, the stems and leaves will grow vigorously and the root system will be weak. Then no matter how exuberant the stems and leaves are, it will only lead to premature senescence and death of the crops. We pursue yield and quality, not stems and leaves. Now many people complain that my crops are growing so well, while others are growing just as well. Why is my output not as high as that of others? Then you should think about your own use of fertilizer.

In short, when we choose to use fertilizer, we can not judge the quality of a product solely by its growth. We should understand that the ultimate goal is yield and quality. Fertilizer that can increase production and ensure quality is a good fertilizer.

3. Four methods of deep fertilization

Chemical fertilizer is applied to the soil for crops to absorb, and its utilization rate is generally not high. For example, the utilization rate of nitrogen fertilizer in rice is about 50%, and that of phosphate fertilizer is 20% to 30%. If deep fertilization is adopted, the utilization rate of fertilizer can be greatly improved and the loss of fertilizer can be reduced. The characteristic of deep fertilization is that the fertilizer is applied to the depths of the tillage layer and is slowly absorbed and utilized by crops. There are four ways of deep fertilization:

⑴ ploughing and deep application

This is a way of applying base fertilizer in a deep layer. The practice is to drain the field water to near dry before ploughing, then spread fertilizer evenly on the field, plough and rake flat, and then transplant rice seedlings.

Deep application of ⑵ surface

This is another way to apply base fertilizer deeply. The practice is to spread fertilizer over the field after ploughing for the last time, and then rake the field and transplant rice seedlings.

Deep application of ⑶ ball fertilizer

This is a way to get fat. The practice is to make ball fertilizer with fertilizer, mud and water in a certain proportion, each weighing about 100 grams. Topdressing involves stuffing a ball of fertilizer into the middle of every 4 seedlings, with a depth of 7cm to 10cm.

Deep application of ⑷ liquid

This is another way to get fat. The practice is to prepare chemical fertilizer or farm manure into fertilizer liquid with water, and then apply it to the soil with a fertilizer applicator, with a depth of about 10 cm. There are mainly several ways of deep fertilization for rice, among which the effect of deep application of ball fertilizer is the best, and topdressing is better.
