Watermelons, tomatoes and parsley are common fruits and vegetables in our daily life, and they are also widely cultivated. So when do their seeds sprout? What are the planting techniques? Let's take a look at it.

Watermelon seed

First, sprout:

In a day or so, you can see white. I'll see you in a week or so. Attention should be paid to the following problems when watermelon seeds germinate:

1. Don't sprout too dense or too thin.

two。 The humidity of budding should not be too high. In the process of budding, we should observe and adjust frequently, and solve the problem in time.

3. Humidity should not be too high, pay attention to ventilation to speed up germination. The soaking time of the seeds should not be too long and the water on the seeds should be drained.

4. The length of seed sprouting should be no more than 3 mm.

5. In the process of accelerating germination, the seeds should be turned frequently to promote the seeds to be heated evenly and increase their air permeability. when it is found that the seed bag is sticky or sour, wash it with warm water in time.

2. Planting:

1. Use a larger disk and load the soil in the field (preferably vegetable garden soil). The soil should be loose and, if possible, put some rotten organic fertilizer.

two。 Buy the seeds of small watermelons (such as Black Beauty, Huang Xiaoyu, etc.). If you use the seeds left by eating watermelons, the melons may not be the same, because today's watermelons are all hybrids. It is difficult for large watermelons to grow as they should on the balcony.

3. Soak the seeds in water for 3-4 hours, then sow them in watered soil and cover them with dry soil (do not water immediately after covering the soil, otherwise it will be difficult for the soil to harden seedlings).

4. After the seedlings are unearthed, they should be watered according to normal management, not too much water to prevent rotting roots.

5. When the melon seedlings grow, pull them up with a bamboo pole or rope and coil the tendrils on the bamboo pole or rope so that the melon seedlings can grow upward.

6. Fertilization: it is better to use compound fertilizer sold in the market, and you can also pour some rice washing water at ordinary times.

7. Pollination: there are two kinds of watermelon flowers: female and male. The ones with melons below are female flowers. After the watermelon blossoms, the male flowers that bloom on the same day are smeared on the female flowers of the same day, so that the pollen of the male flowers is scattered on the stigma of the female flowers, which is the auxiliary pollination. This is very important. Planting melons on the balcony cannot bear melons without pollination.

8. Watermelons should be hung with a net bag when they begin to grow up, otherwise the vines will break when they grow up.

9. When the melon is fully grown and the pattern on the skin begins to become clear, it can be harvested.

Tomato (tomato) seed

First, sprout:

Stir the seeds in water about 60 degrees Celsius to heat them evenly, then soak for 6-8 hours, then sow, and seedlings can emerge in about a week. Attention should be paid to the following problems when tomato seeds germinate:

1. Tomato likes temperature, and the suitable temperature is 25 ℃ ~ 28 ℃ in daytime and 16 ℃ ~ 18 ℃ at night.

two。 Sufficient light and suitable temperature difference are beneficial to the accumulation and maturity of nutrients, promote the healthy development of plants, prevent overgrowth, enhance the disease resistance and stress resistance of tomato, and increase the yield.

3. Except for the slow seedling stage after germination, emergence and planting, which requires higher temperature and humidity, high wet search degree is not needed in other periods.

2. Planting:

1. Sowing rate is determined: general tomato seeds contain about 300 seeds per gram, according to the planting density, generally 20-30 grams per 667 square meters of field seeds. Each square meter of seeding bed can sow 10g to 15g. If the seed germination rate is less than 85%, the sowing rate should be increased appropriately.

two。 Determine the sowing date: according to the tomato planting season, climatic conditions, cultivation methods, seedling facilities and other factors to determine the appropriate sowing time. For example, in open field cultivation in spring, seedlings are usually sown in Beijing from mid-February to early March. For open field cultivation in autumn, the effect of sowing in the south of the Yangtze River, such as Shanghai and Nanjing, is the best from late July to early August, while the yield of sowing in the eastern part of Sichuan is higher in early July. The output is also higher. In some areas where tomato diseases are serious, the sowing date can be postponed for 1 ~ 2 months, and then higher yield can be obtained through close planting, early coring, increasing fertilizer and water and other measures.

3. Sowing methods: there are usually sowing, sowing and on-demand. Tomato seeds should be covered with soil immediately after sowing, and fine screened soil should be used to cover the soil. The thickness of the covered soil is about 0.8cm to 1.0cm, and the thickness should be consistent. After sowing, 8 grams of carbendazim 50% wettable powder mixed with fine soil is scattered evenly on the bed surface after sowing, which can prevent the occurrence of seedling quenching disease. The surface of the seedling bed should also be covered with plastic film in winter and spring. The surface of the seedling bed should be covered with sunshade net or straw in summer and autumn, and the mulch should be removed when there is 70% seedling top soil.

Parsley seed

First, sprout:

It will germinate in 6-10 days. In the process of germination, the soil must be kept moist. Attention should be paid to the following problems during the germination of parsley seeds:

1. The lowest temperature for celery seed germination is 4 degrees Celsius, and the most suitable temperature is 15 to 20 degrees Celsius.

two。 To 25 degrees Celsius for 6 to 8 hours, 15 degrees Celsius for 16 to 18 hours of variable temperature treatment, the germination rate is higher. Under the suitable temperature condition, it can germinate in 7 to 10 days. At the same time, there must be enough water for seed germination. Need to be wet and not resistant to dryness. The general water content should be between 70% and 80%. And we need enough oxygen.

2. Planting:

1. Variety selection

The main results are as follows: (1) the varieties of celery are: Jinnan Shiqin No. 1, horse factory celery, solid stalk celery and so on.

(2) the varieties of celery are: King of California, Gao Utah 52mur70, Italian winter celery, Zhongqin No. 1, Zhongqin No. 2, Xiqin No. 1, etc.

Because the celery seeds are very small, the 1000-seed weight is only 0.4-0.5 grams, the germination rate of the old seeds is very low, and some of them almost do not germinate. Therefore, when selecting varieties, we should also consider whether the seeds are fresh seeds for 1-2 years.

two。 Cultivate strong seedlings

The main results are as follows: (1) choose the fertile land with high topography, drought irrigation, waterlogging drainage and loose soil as the seedbed.

(2) because celery is cold and cool, cold-resistant and heat-resistant, the seedling stage is at high temperature, and the seeds lose their germination power when they are more than 30 ℃. In order to produce seedlings neatly and make the seedlings have a suitable growth environment, shade seedling raising method should be adopted.

(3) 4-5 days after sowing, a layer of young seedlings is unearthed, which is a weed and should be pulled out manually before celery seedlings are unearthed. About 10 days, the two cotyledons of celery break out of the soil, at this time to strengthen watering to keep the seedbed moist.

3. Colonization

(1) soil preparation and fertilization: celery is suitable for cultivation in clayey soil with rich organic matter and strong ability to conserve water and fertilizer, which requires relatively high nutrient conditions, so 6000 kg of rotten manure, 50 kg of calcium superphosphate, 25 kg of ammonium carbonate and 4 kg of zinc sulfate are added to each mu one week before planting. 4 kg, evenly spread to the surface, ploughing once, ploughing depth 20 cm.

(2) preparation before planting: before the early frost in early September, when the seedlings grow to 5-6 leaves, they can be planted. Two days before planting, buckle the greenhouse film into the shape of a canopy and pour enough water on the seedbed.

(3) planting: the method of flat border and furrow planting was used for planting. When planting, each border will open 7 small ditches, deep enough 10 cm, groove width 5 cm, groove spacing 18-20 cm. Put the seedlings upright in the ditch, plant distance: 8 cm, grazing seedlings about 45000; celery 20 cm, about 16000 seedlings per mu. The required plant-row spacing varies with different varieties.
