How to plant spring onion seeds? How much half a kilo? How much is one mu of land?
Chives are also known as scallions, chives, scallions and shallots. It is widely cultivated in the south of China. So how do you plant its seeds? How much can I buy per jin? How much does it take per mu of land? I learned from Uncle Zheng, a spring onion grower in Shuyang County, Jiangsu Province, that the price of spring onions seeds is about 14 yuan per jin.
How to plant spring onion seeds?
It is best to use fresh seeds, as their life span is only about 2 years. The seeds are usually sown in 3muri, sowing in April, and can also be sown from September to October, and the suitable temperature for germination is 1320 ℃.
1. Sow the seeds on the soil surface, cover the soil about 1cm, pour water thoroughly, and germinate for about 2 weeks when the temperature is right.
2. The growth of seedlings is relatively slow, and they can be transplanted and planted after about 4-5 weeks of germination, and every 8-10 plants can be planted and watered as a clump, or not.
If you use bulbs to raise seedlings, you should pay attention to:
1. It is often carried out in April-May or September-October. It is usually planted with bulbs retained in the last year, or with roots and bulbs purchased from the vegetable market. 2. Bulbs (cut leaves before planting, do not cut to white leaf sheaths).
Every 2-3 bulbs are planted in the soil, with a distance of about 10 cm, which should not be planted too deep. The bulbs should be slightly exposed to the soil, and then watered thoroughly. After survival, they can enter the normal management.
How many shallot seeds should be used in one mu of land?
Now the sowing technology has been generally improved, and precision sowing is advocated for high yield. Sowing 10 jin per mu before and after the National Day in Jiaodong should be determined according to planting time, soil fertility and air temperature. Generally speaking, the lower the temperature, the appropriate increase in sowing rate; the later sowing time, the appropriate increase in sowing rate; and the poor soil fertilizer and water conditions, the appropriate increase in sowing rate.
The yield of spring onions is directly related to weather, soil and management. the yield of spring onions varies from 3500 jin to 7000 jin per mu, sometimes even up to 8000 jin-10000 jin.
Attached: the method of growing chives on the balcony
1. For the small chives bought, it is best to choose the leaves that look green, fresh and have intact roots. Don't damage the roots, and some of the soil above doesn't need to be washed.
2. Cut off the leaves above to cook and eat, and don't throw the rest of the roots into the dustbin as usual. Leave a little longer roots when cutting, so that it is easy to plant and survive quickly.
3. Prepare flowerpots and soil. It doesn't matter if you don't have extra flowerpots at home. See if there is any spare space in the pots planted with rose or some flowers and plants, which can be fully utilized to save space. Maybe the smell of chives can also be used to defend against pests. I use a flowerpot with rose. The soil is fertile rotten leaf soil with some rotten cake fertilizer.
4. Dig a small hole in the basin and bury the onion root in it. Don't plant too much in one hole. This can ensure that the later nutrition can keep up with it. You don't have to cover too much soil. After covering the soil, gently flatten it with your hand to prevent the root from coming out when watering.
5. Pour enough water and put it in a sunny place (you can put it in the shade for a short time, but you still have to bask in the sun in a few days). The survival rate is almost more than 90%. As long as it's not sub-zero in winter.
