When are melons and cantaloupes planted?

Melon: melon seedlings are planted in strawberry ridges from late March to early April.

4. Fertilizer and water management: muskmelon needs a large amount of fertilizer in the growing season, not only applying sufficient base fertilizer, but also topdressing. Phosphorus and potassium fertilizer can improve the quality of muskmelon, generally applying more potassium fertilizer and less nitrogen fertilizer.

5. Temperature management: melon is a temperature-loving crop, and the temperature required for each growth period is different. After general planting, we must grasp the temperature management in the early stage, adopt the management method of high temperature, keep it at about 25-35 ℃ (15 ℃-45 ℃ can also grow normally), florescence is 25 ℃, if the night temperature is lower than 17 ℃, the florescence will be delayed, and the most suitable temperature for fruit ripening is 30 ℃.

Cantaloupe: cantaloupe is normally suitable for planting from March to April.

4. What are the varieties of melon and cantaloupe?

Muskmelon:

1. Xiangfei: Hami melon, which is early-born, disease-resistant and suitable for cultivation everywhere, is an improved variety of "Hongxin crisp" in Xinjiang, with the advantages of early birth, disease tolerance, strong fruiting ability and so on.
