What is the yield of yam per mu?

Yam costs about 4,000 lessons per mu. Generally speaking, there are 9-10 trees per meter. It has grown 3000-5000 kg per mu.

What are the prospects for the cultivation of yam?

At present, Chinese yam has a good prospect in the market, but in the process of timing cultivation, Chinese yam is easy to cause waterlogging or drought due to improper fertilizer and water management; due to the lack of long-term nutrition supply, the production of Chinese yam is seriously reduced. Because Chinese yam is a kind of deep plant, the sandy soil with deep soil layer, good drainage, loose and fertile soil should be selected in the cultivated area. Chinese yam likes to be warm and hardy. Therefore, the planting management of Chinese yam should be strengthened to improve the quality of Chinese yam in 2018.

Planting cost: about 4 yuan per jin of seedlings, about 250 jin per mu, about 2300 seeds, and about 80 jin per mu with yam beans, and the price is about 4 yuan per jin.

Planting income: the average yield of yam is 3000 kg per mu, with a total yield of 1098 tons. The wholesale price of yam is 6 yuan / kg. Excluding the total cost, the net income per mu can reach 9400 yuan-10000 yuan. If refrigerated to appear on the market from April to May next year, the net income per mu can be further increased.

1. Variety selection

At present, the main varieties of yam are fine-haired yam, Ermao yam and Japanese yam. Both fine-haired yam and Ermao yam belong to the variety of common yam. Japanese yam is a variety with strong adaptability, good quality, high yield and promising development.

2. Soil selection and trenching

When planting Chinese yam, we should choose sandy loam or light loam with fertile, loose and convenient drainage and irrigation, avoid saline-alkali and clayey soil, and the soil configuration should be uniform, and there should be no interlayer of clay, soil sand and so on in at least 1m-1.2m soil layer.

3. Preparation of seedlings.

There are three methods of seedling preparation: one is to use the yam head to take the bud section of the tuber, which is about 20cm and 40cm long; the second is to use the yam to cut the tuber into segments according to 8~lOcm; the third is to use the residual seeds of the yam.

4. Make the bed whole and irrigate the soil moisture

Mash the soil dug out of the yam ditch in layers, pick up bricks and stones, and then backfill to make a ditch bed below the surface lOcm, leaving only the matured soil in the plough layer for planting. After the ditch bed is done, it should be leveled first and then irrigated, and after it seeps under water, it can be planted.

5. Planting method

The cultivation of Chinese yam varies due to local climatic conditions, and it is generally required that the ground temperature of the surface 5cm is stable over 9: 10 ℃. If possible, plastic film can also be used to cover it.

6. Harvest

The stems and leaves of Chinese yam will die when exposed to frost. The normal harvest time is before and after the frost fall, and the harvest of Yuzi is generally 30 days earlier than that of tubers.
