Recently, there are frequent videos of hydroponic garlic on Jinri Toutiao, which makes people curious and pursue its hydroponic method. In fact, the method of hydroponic garlic is very simple. As long as the utensils are ready, when will hydroponic garlic be ready? How do you plant it?

Hydroponic time

According to the time division, it is autumn stubble from September to the end of October, winter stubble from the beginning of November to the end of January of the following year, and spring stubble after the beginning of February of the following year, in which autumn stubble is the best and spring stubble is the worst.

Hydroponic method

1. If you take garlic, you can peel off the cloves and put them in a container, which is suitable for smaller containers. You can also peel off the outermost skin of garlic and directly expose the cloves and put them in the container.

2. Directly add water and soak the bottom of the garlic, which is conducive to rooting.

3. Usually change the water every 1 to 2 days to keep the water fresh. In the initial stage, the water can not be changed for 3 consecutive days to facilitate fixation. After rooting and fixing, the frequency of changing water can be more frequent.

4. Generally, after hydroponic culture, it can take root on the same day, and green can be seen after 2-4 days.

Matters needing attention in hydroponics:

1. The temperature of 10-25 ℃ is suitable for the growth of garlic leaves.

2. The bulb disk at the bottom of garlic is the place to grow roots in the future. If there is no bulb disk, it is impossible to take root and grow leaves.

3. If a petal is broken, then each flap must have a bulb disc.

4. Be careful when peeling, don't hurt the garlic, if there is any injury, the broken place will rot and mildew later.

5. You can use water to cultivate the hyacinth container, this container is better to fix garlic cloves, you can also use washing vegetable blue.

6. Put the bulbs of garlic cloves face down and put them neatly in the basket. Don't be too crowded, because you will have to expand after meeting the water. At the beginning, do not change water, just add water, so as to avoid confusion.

7. Find a container of the right size and pour into the water so that the surface of the water can touch the bulb plate.

8. The roots will grow in about 4 or 5 days, and the water can be changed regularly later. Generally, it can be harvested in about 30 days. Cut off the garlic leaves and wait for the next growth.

In general, the whole hydroponic culture time of garlic in autumn and winter is more than 60 days, while that in spring is more than 40 days.

If you wait for it to fully grow and then harvest (more than 5 leaves per plant), you can usually harvest two crops, this is the method here; if you wait for a single plant to grow to 2 or 3 leaves, then it is possible to harvest 6 or 7 crops in the whole process of hydroponic culture.

In addition to the last crop, the roots must be harvested (at this time, the nutrients of garlic cloves have been exhausted, so it is of little significance to continue hydroponics). For the rest of the stubble, if you want to have garlic cloves, you will be like cutting leek, leaving a stubble of 2 or 3 centimeters, that is, stubble harvesting. After this method of harvest, it can be sent again in the future.

Middle stage of hydroponic culture (5-45 days):

During this period of time, the garlic root has been completely fixed and easy to maintain. You just need to change the water regularly. It is recommended to change the water every 5-7 days. Usually, after two weeks of hydroponic culture, a good ornamental effect can be achieved (the garlic seedling forest is initially formed). If it is allowed to grow fully, then during the hydroponic culture period of 25 to 35 days, it is the best time to harvest, harvest the first stubble, leave garlic cloves and roots, and then germinate again.

Later stage of hydroponics (after 45 days):

During this period, it is generally the growth time of the second crop of garlic seedlings (the premise is to harvest after full growth); at this time, the garlic root is easy to produce green algae, which requires additional cleaning of the root system for 1 or 2 times when changing water; moreover, it is easy to rot or shrink the garlic cloves at this time, if found, then remove them in time!
