Loquat is a common fruit in the south, like longan, the leftover seeds can be used to grow potted plants, and the potted plants can improve the indoor greening effect, so how to plant loquat seeds in pots? How long will it take to sprout?

Newly planted loquat seeds usually sprout in 7-10 days, but you need to master certain planting skills:

Prepare before planting:

Because the seeds of loquat are relatively large, and it is not difficult to get them, it is not as troublesome as dragon fruit and guava to get seeds. So you need to soak the seeds in water for about 7 days, and then start planting. Remember to change water every day, otherwise it will rot easily. When planting, the seed "tip" is facing down, because that is the bud point. If you are afraid that the seed will not grow stably or that the seed will not be close enough to contact with the soil, you can bury the seed a little deeper, because the loquat seed is larger, and the leaves of the loquat are also larger. If you don't want the pot plant to look particularly dense, the interval between the seeds can be slightly larger, and it can be planted a little bigger than the one shown below.

Specific planting skills:

1. Accelerating budding

The kernels of many fruits are sprouted with wet paper towels, but loquat kernels cannot be germinated with paper towels. Only soak the seeds in clean water and change the water every day. The seeds can be sown after the buds are exposed.

2. Pot selection and sowing

Choose a small plastic flowerpot. Note that there must be an outlet hole at the bottom so that the water can run. You can also use some small grids to pad the bottom of the flowerpot. Pour the crushed soil, about 4CM thick, then put the germinated loquat seeds on top of the soil, 4-6. Then cover the soil, about 5mm thick, to cover the seeds on the line. Cover the soil and water it properly.

3. Maintenance

Finally, put the flowerpot in a cool place or a place where the sun is scattered, and water it dry and wet. The seedlings will emerge in about two weeks. It will take less than 2 months to grow into a big seedling. Look at what I planted. It looks pretty. When the saplings grow up a little bit, they can be transplanted to the ground. The little bonsai is also very cute!

[notes]

1. The bottom of the flowerpot had better be covered with a grid.

two。 After the loquat seed is dried, peel off the outer skin.

3. Wait patiently after planting, don't worry!
