Radix Rehmanniae, Radix Rehmanniae is a perennial herb, fresh Rehmannia can clear away heat and cool blood, and cooked Rehmannia is a tonic. So, how much is the price of Rehmannia glutinosa seeds on the market? When will the seeds be sown? What are the planting methods?

First, how much is the price of Rehmannia glutinosa seeds on the market?

The price of Rehmannia glutinosa seeds is about 60,100 yuan per jin, but it varies with seed quality, producing area, variety and so on. The variety of Rehmannia glutinosa is mixed, coupled with long-term asexual reproduction, and there is a phenomenon of degradation, and the yield varies greatly. Rejuvenation through seed reproduction is one of the means to overcome the degradation of Rehmannia glutinosa.

When will Rehmannia glutinosa be sown?

It is suitable to plant Rehmannia glutinosa in spring. It is generally best when the daily average temperature is 18-21 ℃. For example, Beijing is in early and mid-April, Chongqing is from late February to late March, Henan early spring Rehmannia glutinosa is in early and mid-April, and late Rehmannia glutinosa (or wheat stubble Rehmannia) is from early May to early June. When planting, trench on the ridge or border, ditch distance 33cm, every 15~20cm, plant a node, cover soil 3~4cm, compaction topsoil before watering. Plant 2 rows in each ridge and 3-4 rows in each row. After the seedlings come out, replenish the seedlings in overcast and rainy days. About 1 month after planting, leave 1 healthy seedling in each hole. Before closing the row, shallow shoots 2-3 times, and shovel away the excess seedlings that grow one after another.

What are the planting methods of Rehmannia glutinosa?

1. Land selection and land preparation: Rehmannia glutinosa should select sandy loam with deep soil layer, fertile soil and good drainage. At the same time, 2000-3000 kg of mature compost and 25 kg of superphosphate should be applied per mu. Then flatten and rake the beds, paying special attention to the fact that Rehmannia glutinosa should not be replanted.

2. Replenishing seedlings: when the height of Rehmannia glutinosa seedlings is 10cm to 12cm, one strong seedling will be left in each hole. In case of deficiency, plants should be replanted in time in cloudy days, and seedlings should be raised with soil when replanting, so that the survival rate is higher.

3. Weeding in middle tillage: the rhizome of Rehmannia glutinosa is shallowly buried in the soil, and the middle tillage should be shallow to avoid root injury. The weeds around the seedlings should be pulled out by hand. After the plants are closed, stop the middle tillage.

4. Reasonable topdressing: Rehmannia glutinosa likes fertilizer. In addition to applying sufficient basic fertilizer, 100 kg of superphosphate and 30 kg of rotten cake fertilizer are applied per mu after interseedling to promote the development and expansion of rhizome. When the row is closed, ash is applied once between rows to promote the healthy growth of the plant.

5. Timely irrigation: Rehmannia glutinosa needs a large amount of water in the early stage, so it should be watered frequently, and the later stage is the period of underground rhizome expansion, so water should be saved. Attention should be paid to timely drainage in the rainy season to prevent the occurrence of root rot.

6. besides the main root, Rehmannia glutinosa can also grow slender underground stem along the surface, which is called string root. These roots lose a lot of nutrition and should be eradicated in time in field management.

7. pest prevention: the main diseases of Rehmannia glutinosa are spot blight, ring disease and Fusarium wilt, which generally begin to occur in early May and serious from June to July, so attention should be paid to timely control. Pests include red spiders, ground tigers, grubs and so on.

8. Harvest and processing: when Rehmannia glutinosa is planted in spring, when the aboveground stems and leaves are withered and yellow in November of that year, it should be dug in time, and a 35-centimeter deep trench should be opened at one end of the border. Carefully pick the rhizome in sequence, and then use a special oven to process it into mature land to become a commodity.
