The fruit of the happy tree, also known as Qianzhang tree, water chestnut, catalpa tree. Its florescence is August and its fruiting period is from October to November. So, what kind of tree is Camptotheca acuminata fruit? Where is it suitable for planting? What pharmacological effects does it have? Is it anti-tumor?

What kind of tree is the fruit of Camptotheca acuminata? Where is it suitable for planting?

Camptotheca acuminata fruit likes to be warm and humid, can not bear the cold and dry, and grows in the valleys and slopes at the foot of the mountain. Is a deep-rooted tree species, like fertilizer and water, not resistant to dry and barren. It can grow in acidic, neutral and weakly alkaline soil. It grows well on limestone weathered soil and alluvial soil. However, they all grow poorly in coarse sandy soil, gravelly soil and dry and barren thin stony mountain areas with poor soil fertility. The growth is exuberant in the moist sandy land of rivers and lakes and the edge of the canal with high groundwater level.

Second, what pharmacological effects does it have? Is it anti-tumor?

1. Anti-tumor effect: the alcohol extract of Camptotheca acuminata has certain inhibitory effect on animal transplanted tumor, camptothecin and its derivatives have strong anticancer activity, have obvious inhibitory effect on leukemia L1210 in vitro, and have inhibitory effect on HeLa cells and many kinds of tumor cells.

2. Immunosuppressive effect: small dose of camptothecin injected intraperitoneally for 9 times had obvious inhibitory effect on tumor associated immunity, while high dose of 40 mg / kg once had little immunosuppression. The immunosuppression induced by camptothecin was temporary and the immune function was restored after 9 days of withdrawal.

3. Other effects: camptothecin and 10-methoxycamptothecin have obvious inhibitory effect on herpesvirus in vitro. Camptothecin 5 mg / kg, once a day, intragastrically or subcutaneously for 1-3 times, could resist early pregnancy at 100% in rats and rabbits 7-9 days after mating.
