"vegetables on the tree" can Toon trees be cut? How to cuttage? When will the cuttings be ready?
Now is the time for Toona sinensis to go on the market, and the sales prices in major markets are small and expensive, and at present, there are many places where Toona sinensis is planted in our country, but because it is difficult to preserve and mostly planted in the greenhouse in the south, the price is very expensive, can Toona sinensis be cut? How to cuttage? When will the cuttings be ready?
Toona sinensis can be cut, but the survival rate is low, so the requirement is high in time, generally few people take this method.
Cutting time:
It is generally carried out from April to June, and it can also be propagated by cutting from late June to early July. Cut the semi-lignified branches of the same year into about 15 centimeters and cut them in the sand bed. In order to increase the survival rate, cuttings can be diluted 1000 times with 0.4% butyric acid solution and soaked for 30 minutes to 1 hour, or cut with 0.1% BA powder.
Cutting propagation can be divided into soft wood cuttings and hardwood cuttings. The survival rate of semi-lignified or mostly lignified branches as cuttings is high. Taking the budding branches on the root or stem as cuttings is easier to take root and survive than the branches on the crown.
The specific skills are:
1. Using electric hotbed as cutting cultivation bed.
Make a low border with a length of 7 meters, a width of 1 meter and a depth of 20 centimeters, flatten the border surface, spread 3 centimeters thick straw and other heat insulation, spread a layer of old film, pad soil 1 centimeters thick and 2 centimeters thick, and then lay an electric hotline with a length of 100 meters and a power of 1kW. The bed soil uses loam with good heat preservation and water retention, 10 centimeters and 15 centimeters thick.
2. Select cutting branches
After natural defoliation in the open field, one-or two-year-old branches with a diameter of more than 1.5 cm were cut into cuttings with a length of 30 cm and 40 cm. In addition to the apical buds in the uppermost part of each cuttings, a fuller lateral bud was also selected, about 1.5 cm from the cut. The cutting surface should be small and flat, and mechanical damage to the upper lateral buds and branch epidermis should be avoided as far as possible.
3. To break dormancy.
Soak the cuttings with 50 mg / kg gibberellin aqueous solution for 10 minutes, then soak with the cuttings.
4. Dense cuttage, triple mulching
According to the length of cuttings, divided into two groups, cutting according to the row spacing of 1 cm to 2 cm, the uppermost lateral bud of adjacent cuttings should be staggered properly. There are 900 cuttings per square meter, and the cutting depth is about 10 cm, but the cutting depth can be properly adjusted to make the cutting section on the same horizontal plane. After the cuttage is finished, cover the grass curtain, arch film, and cover a layer of plastic film on the cuttings.
5. Manage carefully and harvest in time
Shading or weak light management can be carried out during the growing period, the temperature in the bed is kept at 20 ℃ ~ 25 ℃, the air relative humidity is more than 95%, and the bed soil remains moist all the time. After the bud grows, remove the plastic film in time. If there are many buds, choose a strong bud as soon as possible and get rid of the rest. Natural light and variable temperature management were carried out 2-3 days before harvest, and the daily average temperature was 20 ℃ and the daily temperature difference was 12 ℃. After cutting for about 40 days, the bud can be harvested when the bud is about 20 cm long. Harvest is best carried out in the morning, the whole bud will be picked, along with the harvest into the bag box. You can charge 2 kilos and 2.5 kilograms per square meter.
In addition to cutting, Toona sinensis can also be planted in other ways.
I. seed sowing
If the seedlings of Toona sinensis are to grow together, then seed sowing and propagation is the most effective and commonly used method. The main root of Toona sinensis cultivated by sowing method is obvious and the growth is exuberant.
Before sowing, the seeds should be soaked in water at a temperature of 20 ℃ ~ 30 ℃ for 12 hours. After soaking the seeds, rinse with clean water and put them into a bag to accelerate germination. The temperature is maintained at about 25 ℃, and the seeds can be sowed after germination. The sowing is generally carried out from April to May, and the seedlings can be transplanted in autumn and winter. When raising seedlings, we should pay attention to the occurrence of root rot.
2. Root and bud split method
Trench around the crown and cut off the roots about 1 cm in diameter to stimulate the growth of root buds. When cutting off the root, we should pay attention to the principle of not damaging the larger root system. Cover the soil after root cutting, and timely add mature organic fertilizer to facilitate root bud and plant growth. About 2-3 root buds can be produced every year.
3. Root cuttage propagation
Take the root with a diameter of about 0.5 cm to 1 cm, cut off the cuttings with a growth of 10 cm to 15 cm, cut the thicker end up and the thin end obliquely downward. The cuttings can be diluted 1000 times with 0.4% butyric acid solution and soaked for 30 minutes, or cut with 0.1% BA powder. After treatment, the cuttings are deeply embedded in the sand bed. To maintain temperature (25 ℃ ~ 30 ℃) and humidity (75%~80%RH), it can be covered with transparent plastic cloth. Only one bud is left for each ear after sprouting, and it can be transplanted when it grows to about 30 cm.
