China is a large tea producer, but it is not a powerful country, especially in the export of tea, more raw tea is exported, including some tea extracts and deeply processed products are also raw and basic tea products. Therefore, whether it is the extension of the tea industry, the promotion of the added value of the industry, or the efficiency of tea farmers and tea enterprises, we need to use all kinds of platforms to help tea enterprises to make the industry bigger and stronger and enhance the international competitiveness of China's tea industry.

This was expressed by Li Zibin, president of the China Association of small and medium-sized Enterprises, at the establishment of the Tea Culture working Committee of the China Association of small and medium-sized Enterprises and the unveiling ceremony of the Chinese Tea Farmers' Union of Origin held in Beijing on the 26th.

Li Zibin said: China's tea output ranks first in the world, with more than 40 million mu of tea land and 80 million tea farmers. China's tea industry has developed into an industry that integrates planting, processing, commerce, service industry, training, culture, e-commerce and other perfect industrial chains, and occupies a pivotal position in the national economy. But in the international market, the average price of Chinese tea is just $2 per kilogram, lower than $2.70 in India and $3.40 in Sri Lanka. At the same time, there is no large tea enterprise in China that can compete with Lipton and other international well-known tea brands and has an absolute advantage in market share.

In view of the current situation of China's tea industry, Li Zibin said that the Tea Culture working Committee of the China Association of small and medium-sized Enterprises will strive to be a good bridge between the government and tea enterprises, to open up the connection between tea products and consumers, and to build a cooperation platform and marketing network for small and medium-sized tea enterprises with good faith cooperation, pragmatic innovation and government-enterprise communication. It will integrate the advantageous resources of the tea industry, enlarge and improve the "cake" of the tea industry, and constantly cultivate a growing tea enterprise brand that values tea morality, trustworthiness, specialization and modernization, so as to promote the sound development of the tea industry. The Chinese Tea Farmers' Union of Origin will devote itself to building a modern tea industry management model, inheriting and developing Chinese tea culture, and making a modest contribution for ordinary people to drink reassuring tea and satisfying tea.

In addition to vigorously developing the tea industry and realizing the rapid development of tea economy, the Tea Culture working Committee will also take improving the soft power of tea culture as its important mission. Zhao Yiwu, vice president of the International Confucian Union, vice president of the China Association of small and medium-sized Enterprises, and director of the Tea Culture work Committee, believes that Chinese tea culture is rooted in the long-standing Chinese civilization and is one of the cultural branches of the most historical significance and practical value in China, as well as the preferred carrier for building a harmonious society; the Tea Culture work Committee should do a good job in cultural construction and strengthen cultural promotion for 80 million tea industry practitioners.

At the meeting, tea farmers such as Zheng Fangzhi, Chen Rongmao from Wuyishan and Zhao Rongchun from Hangzhou introduced their experiences in protecting, inheriting and developing tea culture. The tea farmers Chen Danhong and Li Huanlu also introduced their difficult journey of living in Wuyi Mountain for more than ten years and taking good care of the six red robe mother trees known as the "king of tea".
