China issues the first local standard for viral insecticides
Recently, the local standard "Helicoverpa armigera nuclear polyhedrosis virus suspension" in Hubei Province has been approved and officially released by the State Standards Commission. The standard is led by the Sun training discipline Group of Wuhan Institute of virus, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and drafted jointly with relevant teams of Hubei Academy of Agricultural Sciences and other institutions. It is the first regional standard for viral insecticide products in China.
According to reports, the preparation of Helicoverpa armigera nuclear polyhedrosis virus is the earliest registered virus insecticide with the largest annual output in China. At present, 14 enterprises in China have registered 21 products of Helicoverpa armigera nuclear polyhedrosis virus. As the standards adopted are all enterprise standards, the quality control indicators are often not comprehensive enough, and the technical indicators and testing methods are not unified, resulting in considerable differences in product quality among different enterprises. it limits the further promotion and application of this kind of products.
The standard established a set of feasible methods for qualitative and quantitative detection of Helicoverpa armigera nuclear polyhedrosis virus suspension, and regulated the physical and chemical properties, sampling, packaging, transportation and storage of the products.
