It was learned from the expert discussion meeting on electronic trading specifications of traditional Chinese medicine products held in Chengdu that after examination and evaluation by industry experts from the Ministry of Agriculture, China traditional Chinese Medicine Association, China traditional Chinese Medicine Logistics expert Committee and other departments, China's first "traditional Chinese medicine e-commerce standard" was unanimously adopted.

It is understood that for a long time, due to the natural properties of traditional Chinese medicine, the specification grade shows the characteristics of diversification. Both supply and demand should rely on the physical characteristics such as shape, color and smell of traditional Chinese medicine, and the transaction can only be completed by looking at the goods on the spot. The lack of circulation standards has become the main bottleneck for the development of e-commerce of agricultural products.

Fang Shuting, president of the China traditional Chinese Medicine Association, said that the electronic trading standard for traditional Chinese medicine, which embodies the major research achievements accumulated in the past 10 years, is specially developed for the development of e-commerce for traditional Chinese medicine products. In terms of operation, the standard abandons subjective, fuzzy or descriptive expressions and establishes a data identification method that is easy to operate.

It is reported that the first batch of standards put into application include 1184 subdivided product specifications of 202commonly used varieties of traditional Chinese medicine, and gradually expanded. The trading platform must, in accordance with the standard requirements, classify the products of traditional Chinese medicine traded online according to quality, and ensure transparency and fairness in the transaction through modern warehousing, product sampling, delivery supervision, margin supervision, credit evaluation and other means. put an end to illegal acts such as inferior quality and adulteration.
