Fritillaria is a perennial herb. According to different producing areas, it can be divided into four types: Fritillaria thunbergii, Fritillaria thunbergii, Fritillaria thunbergii and Fritillaria thunbergii. So when will they blossom and bear fruit respectively? When will it be harvested? What's the difference? Now let's put it in order as follows:

Fritillaria chuanensis:

Mainly distributed in Xizang, Yunnan and Sichuan, but also in Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia, Shaanxi and Shanxi, but also in Nepal. It is usually born in wetlands or rock crevices such as forests, thickets, grasslands or beaches, valleys, etc. It blossoms from May to July and bears fruit from August to October.

This species is one of the main sources of the medicinal material "Chuanbei". It is a valuable traditional Chinese medicine for moistening the lung and relieving cough. it has a long history and is well-known at home and abroad.

The harvest time varies from climate to climate. Wild people are often dug in summer or autumn or when the weeds are not long after the snow melts. Those planted with seeds were harvested after the stems and leaves withered in the third year. Those propagated with bulbs and segmented bulbs were harvested the following year.

Fritillaria thunbergii

The florescence is from March to April and the fruiting period is May. Fritillaria thunbergii is a perennial herb. Bulb hemispherical, 1.5-6 cm in diam., with 2-3 fleshy scales. Stem simple, erect, Terete, 50-80 cm tall. Leaves sessile; leaves on the lower part of the stem opposite, rarely alternate, narrowly lanceolate to linear, 6-17 cm long and 6-15 mm wide; middle and upper leaves often 3-5 whorled, rarely alternate, leaf blade shorter, apex tendril-like.

Born in the shade of low-altitude hills or under bamboo forests. Zhejiang Fritillaria prefers a mild, humid and sunny environment. The root growth should be restrained when the temperature is 7-25 ℃ and the root growth is above 25 ℃. The seedling emerged when the average ground temperature reached 6: 7 ℃, and the temperature range of aboveground growth and development was 4: 30 ℃. In this range, the growth rate increased with the increase of temperature. The suitable temperature for flowering is about 22 ℃. The plant was frozen at-3 ℃, and the top of the plant appeared withered and yellow over 30 ℃. The bulb can expand normally when the ground temperature is 10-25 ℃, will be frozen at-6 ℃, and dormancy will occur when it is more than 25 ℃.

The harvest time of commercial scale ridge of Fritillaria thunbergii is in the first and middle of May, and can be harvested after the aboveground plants have withered completely.

Fritillaria thunbergii:

Fritillaria thunbergii, the name of traditional Chinese medicine. Alias: tubei, big Fritillaria ("Compendium of Materia Medica"), bitter gall, grass Fritillaria. The source is the dried tuber of Fritillaria thunbergii, a plant of Cucurbitaceae.

Fritillaria thunbergii, climbing trailing herbs. It is an irregular block of different sizes. The surface is reddish brown or dark brown, uneven. The quality is hard, not easy to break, the cross section is horny, the gas is slight, the taste is slightly bitter. Like wet, warm and humid climate, withstand severe cold. Often born on hillsides or on flat land. Distributed in Hebei, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Gansu, Shandong, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Sichuan and other places.

Fritillaria pinnata:

Fritillaria thunbergii is a plant of Liliaceae. The dry bulb. Pingbei Mother, also known as Pingbei, Fritillaria, Pingbei. Mainly produces Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning and Shanxi, Shaanxi, Hebei and other provinces. Planting has a long history, and now it has been cultivated in many areas with great benefits.

The seedlings emerged from late March to early April and blossomed in May. The ground temperature began to shoot when the ground temperature was 2 ℃ ~ 4 ℃, and it grew vigorously when the air temperature was 13 ℃ ~ 16 ℃. However, it is not resistant to high temperature, such as when the air temperature is more than 28 ℃ ~ 30 ℃ and the soil temperature is more than 20 ℃, the growth is inhibited, so the aboveground parts wither from late May to June, the underground bulbs enter the dormant state, dormancy begins to sprout again in the middle and late August, and the shellfish begin to grow on the scales. There are more and more shellfish in the first and middle of September until they freeze and go dormant again. Wait for the next spring to turn green and emerge again.

The seeds of Fritillaria thunbergii are usually prepared at the end of May or early June, and the rice harvest can wither in the upper part of June.
