Yu Xinrong pointed out that autumn grain is the bulk of grain production for the whole year. The planting area of autumn grain has increased steadily this year, and although it has been affected by disasters such as rainy floods in the south and droughts in parts of the north during the growth period, the disaster losses have been minimized due to the scientific and orderly response to disasters and the effectiveness of active disaster relief in various places. At present, the growth of rice, corn and other autumn grain crops is generally normal, which has laid a good foundation for a bumper harvest.

Yu Xinrong stressed: there is still about a month to go before autumn grain is harvested on a large scale, and there are still many hurdles to go through, such as diseases and insect pests, floods, droughts, early frost, cold dew wind, and so on. All localities should firmly establish the idea of resisting disasters and winning a bumper harvest, and pay close attention to field management in the later stage. to ensure that autumn grain is not available for a day, and the management is not relaxed for a day.

First, make every effort to do a good job in disaster prevention and mitigation. In view of the fact that under the influence of strong El Nino, low temperature, overcast rain and cold dew winds may occur in the south in autumn, and the time of the first frost in Northeast China may be advanced, it is necessary to strengthen contact with meteorological departments, pay close attention to major weather changes, and improve emergency plans as soon as possible. issue early warning information in a timely manner to ensure that various disaster prevention measures are in place.

Second, make every effort to do a good job in the prevention and control of diseases and pests. Autumn grain production is also faced with the threat of rice blast, rice "two-migration" pests, corn armyworm and other diseases and insect pests, so it is necessary to give full play to the role of socialized service organizations of plant protection, vigorously promote unified control, and improve the effect of prevention and control. We will carry out joint prevention and control in the re-occurrence areas, resolutely curb the outbreak of diseases and insect pests, and realize the "seizure of grain by insects."

Third, make every effort to do a good job of technical guidance. Organize government cadres and technical personnel to go deep into the production line to carry out guidance services.
