Mangoes, apples and bananas are the most common fruits we usually have, so where do these fruits grow? What is the growth process?

Where do mangoes grow?

Mango trees are distributed in tropical and subtropical regions, Southeast Asian countries (India, Myanmar, Philippines, Malaysia), the Middle East, Australia, Southeast Africa, Hawaii, South America and China (Yunnan, Guangxi, Guangdong, Hainan, Taiwan). Mangoes are less demanding on soils and have been successfully cultivated on all types of soils, from lowlands with no standing water to higher slopes, from acidic lateritic soils to beaches with higher salt content. But the best soil for commercial mango production is medium fertility.

Mango growth process

Branch growth habit mango branch growth was peng sub-type growth. The bud is wrapped by bracts, which bloom first when growing, the buds elongate, the leaves spread, and the bracts fall off immediately. Middle and lower leaves alternate, leaf spacing is larger. Generally, seedlings and young trees shoot 6-8 times a year, young fruit trees shoot 2-4 times, mature trees 1-2 times. 3-5 The shoots growing in month are spring shoots, summer shoots from June to August, autumn shoots from September to November, winter shoots from December to February. Autumn shoots are the main fruiting mother shoots in Hainan. But spring and summer shoots can also become fruiting mother shoots. Under good conditions, winter shoots of some varieties sprouted in December and January can also bear fruit. It takes 15-35 days from bud germination to shoot stop growing and leaves mature. Summer and autumn shoots lasted shorter, winter shoots longer. Shoot growth and root growth alternate.

flowering habit

(1) Flower bud differentiation Under normal circumstances, flower bud differentiation of mango in this province begins from late October to November. The use of flower promoters can cause differentiation at any time. It takes 20-39 days from flower bud differentiation to the opening of the first flower, but the inflorescence continues to elongate after the opening of the first flower. Appropriate low temperature and drought are beneficial to flower bud differentiation, while high temperature is beneficial to hermaphroditic flower formation.

(2) Flowering mango trees bloom naturally from December to January and February of the next year, sometimes as early as November or late as March of the next year, and bloom around the Spring Festival. It takes 15-25 days for an inflorescence to bloom from the first flower to the full inflorescence, and about 50 days for a tree to bloom. Mango flowers have bisexual flowers and male flowers, bisexual flowers have normal stamens and pistils, can carry out normal pollination fertilization and seed; male flowers have no pistil, can not bear fruit after flowering. Most cultivars have more than 15% hermaphroditic flowers. A flower takes about 1.5 days from petal opening to stigma drying.

(3)After fruit development, flowering and fertilization, the ovary begins to expand, and rapidly increases after about 1.5 months. It grows very slowly or does not grow 10-15 days before fruit picking. At this time, it mainly thickens, enriches and increases weight. From flowering to fruit ripening, it takes 85-110 days for early maturity, 100-120 days for medium maturity and 120-150 days for late maturity. There are two obvious peaks of fruit drop during fruit development: the first peak is about two weeks after flowering, mainly due to the withering and dropping of mal-fertilized fruits, and the second peak is 4-7 weeks after flowering, except for a small number of malformed fruits or aborted fruits, but more fruits are dropped due to lack of nutrients and water. Physiological fruit drop rarely occurs after 2.5 months after flowering, and fruit drop occurs only after 80-85 days due to wind damage, fruit cracking or pests. The harvest period is from May to July, depending on the variety and region.

Where do apples grow?

There are 25 provinces in China producing apples, which are mainly concentrated in Bohai Bay, Northwest Loess Plateau and Old Yellow River. Bohai Bay (including Shandong, Hebei and Liaoning) accounts for 44% and 49% of the total area and output of China; Northwest Plateau (Shaanxi, Gansu and Shanxi) accounts for 34% and 31%; Old Yellow River (Henan, Jiangsu and Anhui) accounts for 13% and 16%; Southwest Highland accounts for 4% and 1%; and other areas account for 15% and 3%.

Apple growth process

1. Select high-quality apple seedlings for grafting.

Generally planted 4-5 years before small seedlings can grow up and bear fruit. It was a long wait. There is no lack of annual pruning, fertilization, spraying, watering and other processes, but everything can not be less.

2. The saplings officially bear fruit in about 5 years.

Apple flowering period will vary greatly due to different climates, Shaanxi is basically between April and May. Always thought that after flowering is the fruit, but in fact farmers friends still have a lot of things to do. When the flowers are fully bloomed, they go through a round of artificial flower removal.

Patience waiting for fruit.

After the petals fall off, the fruit will grow day by day. After the fruit grows out, it also goes through a picking process to remove excess, small fruits. It also reduces the bearing capacity of the fruit tree itself, so that it will not bear too much fruit this year and no fruit next year.

When the fruit grows almost the size of a jujube, it starts again when it is busy. Apples begin bagging.

October is the apple harvest.

Where do bananas grow?

Bananas originated in tropical and subtropical regions, like high temperature and avoid frost. During the whole growth and development period, the temperature is required to be above 24℃ and not exceed 35℃ in summer. In winter, it is no lower than 15 ° C.

2. Banana is the fruit of banana plant of Musaceae family. Native to Southeast Asia.

3. Taiwan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian, Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou, etc. are also cultivated in China, with Taiwan and Guangdong being the most.

4, many people think that bananas are grown on trees, bananas are actually a kind of block stem called banana tree, its skin contains a lot of vitamin B, but now people often peel off banana skin to eat starch mixture with no nutritional value inside, this is really a complete waste, most banana trees grow on mammalian excreta, the demand for temperature is not high, too much dependence on flies to help pollination.

Banana growth process

1. Plant a small sapling, and after fifteen days, the banana will grow into a small size. This is a banana in childhood.

2, in the sun's bath, the small banana grows very fast, about 20 days to grow into the present appearance, there are 1.5 high. This is the banana of youth.

3. When the head grows to about 2.5 meters, the banana will reach the youth, which is easy to manage, and there will be water on the side.

4, grow to ten meters high, to the young age.

5. When the flower buds of banana grow out. Bananas are middle-aged.

6. After one month, the buds have fallen off, the bananas have taken shape, and this string of grown words weighs 60~100 jin. Of course, the middle stalk can also be sold at any time.
