Red onion is round in shape and is one of the favourite dishes of many friends. For farmers, of course, they most want to harvest crops at a good price, so what are the effects and effects of red onions? How to fertilize red onions? How to increase the output?

I. the efficacy and function of red onion

Red onion tastes sweet, slightly pungent and warm, entering the liver, spleen, stomach and lung meridians; it can moisturize the intestines, regulate qi and stomach, invigorate the spleen, diverge wind and cold, warm the middle and dredge yang, eliminate food and change meat, refresh and invigorate the body, dissipate blood stasis and detoxify, and treat exogenous diseases.

Second, how to fertilize red onions? How to increase output?

(1) the seedlings of red onion grow slowly and have few roots at the seedling stage, so the bed of seedling 12582 should choose loose and fertile soil with strong water retention. Nursery bed fertilization has a great effect on the quality and yield of seedlings. Generally, seedlings can be raised by applying base fertilizer, power king 10kg, and calcium superphosphate 0.5 kg. Spread the base fertilizer evenly on the border surface, plane the border soil twice to make the fertilizer soil mix evenly, and then rake and sow the border surface. In the seedling stage, it can be combined with watering 1720kg of rotten human feces or 0.2kg of available nitrogen fertilizer to promote the growth of seedlings.

(2) during the planting period, sufficient base fertilizer should be applied before red onion seedlings are planted, generally applying base fertilizer dynamic king 200--250kg per mu, and high potassium compound fertilizer (such as Waft 15-5-20 nitro-sulfur 18-918 nitrothio) 20-30kg. Generally less in the south, but often mixed with a certain amount of plant ash; slightly more in the north, some places add 25-40 kg calcium superphosphate. Generally speaking, it is combined with land preparation to make beds and spread them in an all-round way.

(3) the topdressing of red onion should be carried out according to the law of fertilizer absorption from planting to harvest. The seedlings grow slowly and do not absorb much nutrients, especially the overwintering seedlings, fertilizer and water must be strictly controlled to prevent overgrowth from causing immature bolting. If the basal fertilizer is insufficient, the leaves of the seedlings are yellow and weak, and the combined watering can be applied 3-5 kg nitrogen per mu.

About 20 days before planting, if the seedlings are still thin and weak, you can top up thin and fat again. After planting, the plant should be fertilized in stages so that the plant can thrive. Planting before overwintering in March after turning green combined with pouring back to green water, about 1000 kg of rotten fecal water per mu of vegetable field, or about 10 kg of ammonium sulfate.

With the gradual increase of air temperature and entering the vigorous growth period of leaves, the amount of fertilizer should be increased. It is necessary to top fertilize twice, using 15 kg of ammonium sulfate, 5.0 kg of potassium sulfate per mu, or 1000 kg of rotten feces and urine per mu. At the same time, the amount of nitrogen fertilizer should be controlled. Prevent the overgrowth of the aboveground part and delay the bulb expansion.

The beginning of bulb expansion is the key period for red onion topdressing. Apply 20kg of ammonium sulfate or 10kg of urea per mu of vegetable field, combined with appropriate amount of potash fertilizer. After that, topdressing is appropriate according to the growth of the field to meet the needs of continuous expansion of the bulb. The soil should be kept moist throughout the bulb expansion period.
