Climate: According to the climate characteristics of China and the growth habits of different blueberry varieties, the planting areas can be roughly divided into four production areas: Changbai Mountain and Daxing 'anling blueberry production area, Liaodong Peninsula and Jiaodong Peninsula blueberry production area, Yangtze River Basin blueberry production area and South China blueberry production area.

2. Soil: Blueberry is suitable for sandy loam with good loose drainage performance, soil pH value 4.0~5.5, optimal soil pH value 4.3~4.8, soil organic matter content 8~12%, optimal soil water level 40~60 cm, soil moist and no ponding.

3. Moisture: Blueberry root system is shallow and sensitive to water shortage. In most cases, timely irrigation is needed according to soil moisture. River water, reservoir water or groundwater can be used as irrigation water source, but water source with high salt content and high pH value should be avoided for irrigation.

4. Terrain: Blueberry should choose flat land or gentle slope land with relatively gentle terrain. Although mountainous land with large slope is conducive to improving fruit quality, it brings a lot of inconvenience to field operation. 3. Blueberry cultivation methods

1. Deep ploughing: After blueberry garden selection, combine green manure deep ploughing one year before planting, the depth should be 20~25 cm, deep ploughing and ripening, and soil improvement should be carried out before planting for soil types that do not meet blueberry requirements, so as to facilitate the growth of organic blueberries.

2. Planting time: It is best to plant in the south where winter is not very dry from autumn to early spring before germination, in the dry place in autumn and winter when the rainy season arrives, in the place with irrigation conditions, it can be planted all year round, and in Majiang, Guizhou, it can be planted in summer.

3. Planting density: the planting depth of annual seedlings is 15~20 cm, and the soil should be compacted tightly to achieve "three supports and two treads and one seedling". Rabbit-eye blueberries often use 2×2 meters or 1.5×3 meters, high-bush blueberries 1.2×2 meters, and short-bush blueberries (0.5~1)×1 meter.

3. Pollinating trees: Rabbit-eye blueberries must be equipped with pollinating trees. The self-flowering and seed setting rates of high-bush blueberries and short-bush blueberries are higher, but the pollinating trees can also improve the fruit quality and yield. The allocation method is to plant the main varieties and pollinated varieties in a ratio of 1:1 or 1:2.

4, soil management: blueberry root distribution is shallow, and thin, no root hair, so the soil is loose, good ventilation.

5. Fertilization method: It is recommended to use organic fertilizer when applying fertilizer to blueberries. The farmland in our country has been seriously polluted due to excessive use of chemical fertilizer, and the final land yield is reduced or even lost.

① Fertilization type: The effect of applying NPK compound fertilizer is better than that of single fertilizer. The ratio of N, P and K is 1∶1∶1. Ammonium nitrogen fertilizer such as ammonium sulfate is better than nitrate nitrogen fertilizer. Chlorine-containing fertilizers such as ammonium chloride and potassium chloride should not be used.

② Fertilization method: high cluster and rabbit eye blueberries can be applied in furrows, and the depth is 10~15 cm. Fertilization is carried out before germination in early spring, and can also be applied once more during the berry ripening period.

③ Fertilization quantity: Excessive fertilization can easily cause blueberry trees to be damaged or even the whole plant to die, so the determination of fertilization quantity should be very careful, and must be determined according to soil fertility and tree nutrition status.

6, irrigation method: blueberry root distribution shallow, like wet, timely irrigation is very necessary, but need to pay attention to water and water quality, deep well water generally high pH value and high sodium and calcium content, sulfuric acid can be adjusted to pH 4.5~5.5 or so irrigation.
