Jiegu, also known as small wax gourd, north melon, hairy melon, leg melon and so on, is a variety of wax gourd. It has the effects of clearing heat, relieving summer heat, detoxification, diuresis, detumescence and so on. It also has a certain auxiliary effect on the treatment of kidney disease, edema, diabetes and so on. Do you know the efficacy and effect of Jiegu? What are the practices of Jiegu? And the cultivation techniques of Chieh-qua.

I. the efficacy and function of Chieh-qua.

1. Chieh-qua contains carbohydrates, protein, vitamin A, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin C, riboflavin, fructose, carotene, phosphorus, calcium and iron and other minerals.

2. Chieh-gourd in melons and vegetables, its sodium content and fat content are low, often eat can play a role in weight loss.

3. Jiegu has the effects of clearing heat, heat, detoxification, diuresis, detumescence and so on. It is an ideal vegetable in hot summer.

4. Chieh-qua has a certain auxiliary effect on the treatment of kidney disease, edema disease and diabetes.

Second, what are the practices of Jiegu?

Put the ④ melon into the egg and arrange it into a flower shape, with 1 egg yolk in the middle. Cover the pot and simmer until the egg yolk is cooked. If you think the fire is too big, you can stew it over low heat.

Third, cultivation techniques of Chieh-qua.

1. Open field cultivation

Chieh-qua is cultivated in open field in North China. The seedlings are generally raised in the wind barrier and sunny beds or plastic sheds in mid-March, planted in the open field in mid-late April, and harvested in early June. This cultivation method went on the market more than 20 days earlier than wax gourd, added the blank period of wax gourd supply, and the economic benefit was significantly higher than that of wax gourd cultivation.

The seedling period of open field cultivation is from March to April, and the outside temperature is getting higher, but occasionally frost occurs at night. Therefore, temperature management should be strengthened in the seedbed, ventilation and cooling should be paid attention to during the day, high temperature should be prevented from growing too long, and attention should be paid not to be harmed by frost at night. 7-10 days before planting, the ventilation rate was gradually increased, and finally the plastic film was removed to make the seedlings in the open field and enhance their adaptability. Other matters of seedling management are the same as early-maturing cultivation in spring.

When the seedlings were 30-35 days old and had 3-4 true leaves, the external late frost was out of date.

Field management refers to early-maturing cultivation in spring.

2. Climatic cultivation

A small number of vegetable farmers in Shandong Province have achieved success in overwintering cultivation of Chieh-qua in solar greenhouse. The overwintering cultivation was raised in September and planted in a solar greenhouse with good thermal insulation in October. New Year's Day began to harvest and went on the market until February to March of the following year. The growth period of this way is in the cold winter, the management is very difficult, but the market price is very high, the economic benefit is very high, so the production has the trend of development.

The seedling period of overwintering cultivation is in the warm autumn season, so it can be carried out in the open field. If there is frost in the later stage, it should be protected. The management of seedling stage refers to early-maturing cultivation in spring.

When planting, the general early frost begins to come. Plastic film should be fastened in solar greenhouse to prevent frost. As the outside temperature drops, reduce the vents and cover the grass at night to maintain the temperature in the solar greenhouse. It should be kept about 25 ℃ in daytime and 15 ℃ at night throughout winter. If the temperature is too low in winter, the flowering will stop. Raising the temperature in the greenhouse is the focus of winter management.

The greenhouse in winter has low temperature and small evaporation, which can reduce the watering times. As long as the soil is wet, there is no need to water it. Generally, there is no need to water from December to January of the following year. After February, the watering times began to increase with the increase of external temperature.
