Last Updated: 2024/09/19, Green onion, also known as spring onion and green onion, is a common vegetable in our country. It is widely eaten as seasoning because of its detoxification, seasoning and prevention of cancer. But if you want to grow scallions well, you must strengthen the management of water and fertilizer. What fertilizer should be used for that kind of green onion?

Green onions, also known as spring onions and green onions, are relatively common vegetables in our country. They are widely eaten as seasoning because of their functions of detoxification, seasoning and prevention of cancer. But if you want to grow green onions well, you must strengthen the management of water and fertilizer. What kind of fertilizer should be used for those green onions? How much fertilizer do you need for one mu? What's good to chase?

First, the amount of fertilizer needed for green onions:

In general, green onions can reach 5000kg to 6000kg / mu in the case of high yield, so they need more nutrients. Under normal circumstances, for every 1000 kilograms of green onions, they need 2.7 kilograms of pure nitrogen, 0.5 ~ 0.6kg of phosphorus pentoxide, 3.3 kilograms of potassium oxide, and the absorption ratio of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium is 1 ∶ 0.4 ∶ 1.3, which is very sensitive to potassium and nitrogen nutrition.

Second, the base fertilizer of green onions

The base fertilizer of green onion is mainly rotten organic fertilizer, with rotten compost or barnyard manure 3000kg / mu, 30kg / mu calcium superphosphate, 20kg potassium sulfate or 100kg plant ash. In addition, 2 kg of copper sulfate and 1 kg of boric acid per mu were sprinkled and ploughed into the soil before soil preparation, and then shallow ploughing and fine rake were used to fully mix fertilizer and soil.

Third, the topdressing of green onions

Topdressing for green onions should be based on the principles of light, medium and post-supplement, and should be combined with ploughing, soil cultivation and watering. The Beginning of Autumn to White Dew is the vigorous leaf growth period of Welsh onion, so it is necessary to apply "leaf attacking fertilizer" to ensure leaf growth and promote high quality and high yield of Welsh onion.

1. Green onions are fertilized for the first time in the Beginning of Autumn, applying 3000kg of soil fertilizer or 150kg of cake fertilizer per mu, or 10kg of urea per mu.

2. In the End of Heat's second topdressing, 50,100kg of cake fertilizer, 30kg of superphosphate and 100kg of plant ash were applied per mu, followed by ploughing, soil cultivation and watering.

3. From White Dew to Frosts Descent, it is the green onion blooming stage, that is, the onion white formation stage, the growth and fertilizer requirement of green onion are relatively large, so topdressing should be applied again, and once in White Dew and the Autumn Equinox respectively. White Dew applied urea 10kg / mu, plant ash 100kg / mu or potassium sulfate 10kg / mu for the third time.

4. The Autumn Equinox applied 1520kg urea or 20kg three-element compound fertilizer, 100kg plant ash or 10kg potassium sulfate per mu for the fourth time.

4. Fertilization methods for green onions

According to the habit of fertilizing, watering and warming the fibrous root of Welsh onion, the correct fertilization method can be summarized as three steps: "spreading beside the root, cultivating soil pressure, watering".

1. Sprinkling beside the root refers to the combination of weeding and loosening the soil between the ridges of green onions, and spreading fertilizer evenly on the topsoil of the roots of green onions.

2. soil pressure refers to sowing soil to the root of green onion after sprinkling fertilizer to cover the fertilizer, so as to reduce fertilizer loss, promote the softening growth of green onion and enhance the wind resistance of the plant.

3. Watering refers to watering within two days after soil cultivation, so that the fertilizer dissolves in the soil and decomposes quickly for green onions to grow.

5. Foliar fertilization of green onions

In order to strengthen the disease prevention ability of onion seedlings, the filtered aqueous solution of plant ash can be used to spray supplementary potassium fertilizer on the leaf surface. 8 kg of plant ash per mu is dissolved in 15 kg of water, and the filtrate is sprayed on 150 kg of water, foliar spraying once in 7 ~] 0 days, 2 times in a row. 0.2% potassium dihydrogen phosphate can also be sprayed to strengthen the growth potential of onion seedlings and improve disease resistance and wind resistance.
