Kiwifruit, also known as kiwi fruit, fox fruit, wild pear and rattan pear, is a kind of high-vitamin fruit on the market in August. It is deeply loved by people because it is rich in vitamin C and a variety of amino acids, but it is not resistant to storage. So try to buy as much as possible, so how to preserve kiwifruit? How to promote ripening and preservation of undercooked ones?

First, how to preserve kiwifruit?

1. How to preserve kiwifruit?

(1) Preservation in the shade: after buying kiwifruit, you should put it in the shade. It is best not to completely seal the kiwifruit in a box or bag (if it is completely sealed, there will be a bad smell of wine when it is opened next time). It is best not to put kiwifruit in a ventilated place, so that it is easy to lose moisture in its content, making the hard ones harder and the soft ones dehydrated.

Matters needing attention for preservation of kiwifruit: refrigerated, protected from light and packed in boxes are all effective ways to increase the preservation time of kiwifruit. In addition, it should be noted that careful selection in the early stage can also increase the preservation time. In the preservation, we should first pick out the soft, damaged kiwifruit, otherwise these kiwifruit will emit "ethylene" and "accelerate ripening" to other kiwifruit, which is not conducive to long-term preservation.

(2) refrigerator preservation: raw kiwifruit can be preserved in the refrigerator (about 1 ~ 5 degrees) for about a month, and when you want to eat it, take it out a few days in advance to promote ripening. Kiwifruit can be eaten together with ripe bananas and apples and can be eaten after softening.

2. How to preserve the mature ones?

Mainly to cryopreservation; cryopreservation; sorting; boxed to avoid light and so on.

(1) put it in a fresh-keeping bag: kiwifruit can be kept in a box or in a fresh-keeping bag for a longer time.

(2) keep the kiwifruit in a cool place: keep the kiwifruit in a box away from light and keep it at a low temperature for a longer time.

(3) put it in a paper bag: store the paper bag and eat it in time, which can also increase the preservation time.

(4) refrigerated storage can increase the preservation time.

(5) careful selection in the early stage can also increase the preservation time.

Note: kiwifruit can not be taken out and placed in a ventilated place, so that the loss of water will become harder and harder. The correct way is to place the box in the box and cover the box after selecting the soft edible kiwifruit. Keep it in the refrigerator for two to three months. When you want to eat, take it out a few days in advance, put it in a sealed place and soften it. In addition, to select the soft kiwifruit in time, even if you don't eat it, don't put the soft and hard ones together for a long time, which is not conducive to the long-term preservation of kiwifruit.

Second, how to accelerate ripening if it is not ripe?

(1) ripening kiwifruit with fruits such as apples or bananas

Put the apple or banana and raw kiwifruit in a paper bag, then stick it in the mouth and leave it for two or three days, then soften and eat. This method is mainly based on the use of apples or bananas to emit ethylene, a gas that can accelerate the ripening of fruit trees, which can quickly ripen the fruit, but should not be kept together for too long, as it will cause kiwifruit to rot.

(2) ripening kiwifruit with toothpick

Wash the kiwifruit with clean water, then put a few small holes in the kiwifruit with a toothpick and put it in a plastic bag for a few days, which can also speed up the ripening process. Or you can also use a knife to cut a few small openings on the outside of kiwifruit for a few days, which can also play the role of ripening kiwifruit. This is because small wounds can make kiwifruit produce ethylene, which can speed up kiwifruit ripening.

(3) increase the ambient temperature of fruit storage.

Kiwifruit is suitable to be placed at room temperature. If placed in a high temperature environment, it can accelerate the metabolism and ripening of the fruit, so immature fruits can be ripened by this method, especially the raw kiwifruit just bought. It is best not to put it in the refrigerator, as long as it can be softened quickly at room temperature for a day or two.
