The reporter learned from the national agrometeorological information released by the Central Meteorological Observatory of the China Meteorological Administration on September 6 that most of the southeastern and southwestern regions of Northwest China had heavy rainfall this week, which was not conducive to the harvest of mature crops. Sunny weather is dominant in most agricultural areas in the north, and there is no early frost in the northeast, northwest and other major agricultural areas. Obvious precipitation will occur in dry areas such as Longzhong, Gansu, which is conducive to the full filling of autumn harvest crops.

Last week, the weather improved in most of the northeast agricultural areas, and the light and heat conditions were suitable for grain filling of one-season rice, corn and soybean. There is obvious precipitation in northwest, Huang-Huai and other places, the soil moisture is improved, and the drought in some areas is alleviated, which is conducive to the formation of autumn harvest crop yield, but the precipitation is insufficient in central Gansu and central Liaoning, and the drought continues. The low temperature and low light in the eastern part of North China affect the grain filling maturity of crops. The fine weather in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River is beneficial to the yield formation of one-season rice, corn, cotton and other crops, as well as the jointing and booting of late rice. The continuous rainy and light weather in the south of the Yangtze River, the south of China and the west of southwest China adversely affected the tillering and jointing of late rice, grain filling and mature harvest of one-season rice and corn.

According to the forecast of the Central Meteorological Observatory, there will be more rainfall in most of the southeastern and southwestern regions of Northwest China this week, including 80mm in parts of western Sichuan Basin, Yunnan, Guangxi, and so on. The rainfall is 20% more than that in the same period of the year, and the local amount is more than twice as much. The continuous rainy weather is not conducive to the mature harvest and sun-drying of one-season rice and corn and the tillering of late rice. From September 8 to 12, there will be light to moderate rain in the eastern part of Northwest China and the south of Northeast China, which will help to improve soil moisture and promote full crop filling. The cold air in the northern region is active frequently, but the power is not strong. Except for the first frost in the northeast of Inner Mongolia and the northern mountains of Heilongjiang, there will be no obvious first frost in most of the northern areas, which will be conducive to the filling and ripening of autumn harvest crops such as one-season rice and corn.

In this regard, agricultural gas experts suggest that obvious precipitation will occur in most areas of the north, and that all localities should strengthen the classified management of farmland to promote the full filling of autumn harvest crops; areas with high precipitation intensity should pay attention to timely drainage and waterlogging, so as to prevent crops from ripening late. Cotton areas such as Xinjiang should seize the fine weather and pick cotton in time. Water storage in autumn sowing areas should be strengthened to prepare for timely autumn sowing. In the southern region, the management of water and fertilizer in paddy field should be strengthened to promote grain filling of single cropping rice, tillering and jointing, booting and heading of late rice. There is more precipitation in the southeast and southwest of Northwest China, so it is necessary to seize the intermittent precipitation and rush to harvest mature crops in time to prevent sprouting and mildew.
