Ministry of Commerce: prices of edible agricultural products were generally stable last week

Last Updated: 2024/09/19, According to the monitoring of the Ministry of Commerce, the market prices of edible agricultural products in 36 large and medium-sized cities across the country remained stable last week (August 31 to September 6), and the prices of means of production continued to fall in circulation. Last week, the price of poultry eggs rose slightly, among which the prices of eggs and white-striped chicken were higher respectively.

According to the monitoring of the Ministry of Commerce, the market prices of edible agricultural products in 36 large and medium-sized cities across the country remained stable last week (August 31 to September 6), and the prices of means of production continued to fall in circulation.

Last week, the price of poultry eggs rose slightly, of which the prices of eggs and white-striped chicken rose 1.3% and 0.7% respectively. The average price of 18 kinds of vegetables rose 0.5% over the previous week, with lettuce, garlic and rape rising 8.1%, 4.2% and 4.2% respectively. Meat prices rose and fell, with beef and mutton rising 0.4 percent and 0.1 percent respectively, while pork prices fell 0.2 percent. Grain prices are running smoothly, with rice and flour prices unchanged from the previous week. The price of edible oil fluctuated slightly, of which the price of rapeseed oil fell 0.2%, the price of soybean oil remained unchanged, and the price of peanut oil rose 0.2%. The average price of aquatic products decreased by 0.7%, of which the prices of silver carp, carp and small yellow croaker decreased by 1.5%, 1.4% and 1.4%, respectively.

Last week, the price of basic chemical raw materials fell 1% compared with the previous week, of which pure benzene and methanol fell 2.2% and 1.7% respectively. The price of rubber decreased by 0.7%, of which the prices of natural rubber and synthetic rubber decreased by 1% and 0.4% respectively. The price of steel fell by 0.7%, of which the prices of rebar and I-beam fell by 1% and 0.9% respectively. The price of non-ferrous metals decreased by 0.2%, of which the prices of tin, aluminum, nickel and zinc fell by 0.9%, 0.7%, 0.4% and 0.3% respectively, while the prices of lead and copper rose by 0.3% and 0.1% respectively. Coal prices fell 0.2%, of which thermal coal and anthracite prices fell 0.2% and 0.1% respectively, coking coal prices remained unchanged. The price of chemical fertilizer rose 0.1%, of which the prices of ternary compound fertilizer, potassium chloride and diammonium phosphate rose 0.5%, 0.4% and 0.1% respectively, and the price of urea remained stable.
