Most of the crops in Northeast China are growing well and the drought in Liaoning continues.
Qian Shuan, chief expert of the Agricultural Meteorological Center of the National Meteorological Center, said that at present, attention should be paid to the impact of drought in northwest China, autumn rain in west China, early frost in northwest and northeast China and cold dew wind in south China on grain filling maturity of autumn harvest crops and sowing of winter wheat and rape.
September 10 to October 20 is the main period of autumn harvest and autumn planting in China. During this period, autumn planting of winter wheat, rape and other crops will lay the foundation for next year's summer harvest. It is reported that since spring sowing, most areas of the country light, temperature, water matching is better, there is no long-term, large-scale agricultural meteorological disasters, at present autumn harvest crops generally grow better.
As the main grain producing area, the harvest of autumn grain crops in Northeast China has attracted much attention. Qian told reporters that soil moisture and crop growth in most parts of Northeast China are better, and there has been no early frost in the near future. At present, only some parts of Liaoning Province continue to suffer from drought, which has little impact on the total output of Northeast China.
Qian Tie reminded that this year's autumn rain in West China is more in the south and less in the north. We need to pay attention to the continuous rainy weather in Southwest China. In these areas, one-season rice, spring corn, tobacco leaves, etc. are harvested one after another, and mature crops should be harvested in time by seizing the precipitation gap. In addition, some areas of Jianghan have begun to harvest one-season rice, while autumn harvest in most areas of northern China has not yet begun.
With the national autumn harvest autumn seed meteorological service kicked off, the autumn harvest autumn seed meteorological service in each grain producing area will also be launched one after another. The meteorological department of Hubei Province will focus on meteorological services for corn, middle rice, cotton suitable harvest period and rape suitable sowing period. In the early stage, the meteorological bureau of this province has carried out autumn grain yield survey jointly with the provincial agricultural department and other departments. Due to the good weather conditions this year and the increase of autumn grain planting area, the yield and total output of autumn grain crops in Hubei Province are expected to increase synchronously. Autumn grain crops in Shandong Province will be harvested in late September and early October, and meteorological departments will start autumn harvest and autumn planting meteorological services in late September. Shandong Province encountered drought from late May to July this year, but large-scale rainfall at the end of June and rainfall from the end of July to the beginning of August relieved the drought to varying degrees. At present, local soil moisture is also conducive to the growth of autumn grain crops.
