2015 National Autumn Harvest and Autumn planting Meteorological Service kicked off
The reporter learned from the China Meteorological Administration that the 2015 national autumn harvest and autumn planting meteorological service was officially launched on September 11. It is reported that during the autumn harvest and autumn planting period, the "National Autumn Harvest and Autumn seed Meteorological Service Special report" produced by the China Meteorological Administration will be sent to the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Bureau of Statistics, the Grain Bureau, and other departments to provide services for autumn harvest and autumn planting.
Qian Shuan, chief expert of the Agricultural Meteorological Center of the National Meteorological Center, said that at present, attention should be paid to the effects of drought in northwest China, autumn rain in western China, initial frost in northwest and northeast China, and Cold Dew wind in the south on the grain filling and ripening of autumn harvest crops and the sowing of winter wheat and rape.
The period from September 10 to October 20 is the main time for autumn harvest and autumn planting in China. During this period, the autumn planting of winter wheat, rape and other crops will lay the foundation for a bumper harvest in summer next year. It is reported that since spring sowing, light, temperature and water match well in most parts of the country, and there are no long-term and large-scale agrometeorological disasters. At present, autumn harvest crops are generally growing well.
As the main grain producing area, the harvest of autumn grain crops in Northeast China has attracted much attention. Qian Shuan told reporters that soil moisture and crop growth in most parts of Northeast China are good, and there is no initial frost in the near future. At present, only some parts of Liaoning Province continue the drought, which has little impact on the total output of the northeast region.
Qian Shuan reminded that the autumn rain in West China this year is more in the south than in the north, and we need to focus on the continuous rainy weather in the southwest. In these areas, single-cropping rice, spring corn and tobacco are harvested one after another, and mature crops should be harvested in time between precipitation. In addition, some parts of Jianghan have begun to harvest a crop of rice, and the autumn harvest has not yet begun in most parts of the north.
It is understood that this year's autumn harvest and autumn seed meteorological service products will be released every Tuesday and Friday in the form of a special meteorological service report, and will be disseminated to the public through television, newspapers and other channels. The Central Meteorological Observatory will keep abreast of the trends and latest progress of autumn harvest and planting work in time, and put forward corresponding preventive measures according to the influence of the weather. Since September 1, the Central Meteorological Observatory has been monitoring the first frost in Northeast and Northwest China, analyzing and judging the first frost in the next three days in daily national weather meetings. In the event of continuous rain, frost, cold dew wind and other agrometeorological disasters, the Central Meteorological Observatory will give early warning, encrypt the frequency of services, and improve the level of fine forecasting services.
With the prelude to the national meteorological service of autumn harvest and autumn planting, the meteorological service of autumn harvest and autumn planting in various grain producing areas will also be launched one after another. The meteorological department of Hubei Province will focus on providing meteorological services for the suitable harvest time of corn, medium rice and cotton and the suitable sowing date of rape. In the early stage, the provincial meteorological bureau has jointly conducted a survey of autumn grain production in conjunction with the provincial agricultural department and other departments. Due to the better climatic conditions this year and the increase in the planting area of autumn grain crops, the per unit yield and total yield of autumn grain crops in Hubei Province are expected to increase synchronously. Autumn grain crops in Shandong Province will be harvested in late September and early October, and the meteorological department will start the meteorological service of autumn harvest and autumn planting in late September. Shandong Province encountered drought from late May to July this year, but the extensive rainfall at the end of June and the rainfall from the end of July to the beginning of August alleviated the drought to varying degrees. At present, local soil moisture is also conducive to the growth of autumn grain crops.
