1. How many kinds of sprouts are there?

There are no official statistics on how many kinds of sprouts there are, but there are still more than 100 species, and major sprouts companies are still cultivating new varieties.

Usually, people's understanding of sprouts is "bean sprouts", nothing more than soybean sprouts and mung bean sprouts. In fact, this view has long been out of date, but at present, most vegetable markets also take into account the acceptability of the public when they purchase goods, so they still stay at the stage of selling only these two types of sprouts, and individual markets have also begun to sell peanut sprouts, but sales are not very optimistic on the whole.

1. Seed soaking treatment

First wash the beans with cold water about 3 times to remove dust and scum, and then soak for 2 days, the ratio of seeds and water consumption can refer to 1:3.

2. Selection and planting of seedling containers

It is best to buy a special grid plate for making bean sprouts and seedling paper, then spray the seedling paper with water, and spread the soaked seeds evenly on the seedling paper on the grid plate.

If you don't have a grid tray, it's OK to use an ordinary foam box, but poke several holes evenly at the bottom of the box for drainage and ventilation.

3. Daily management

After sowing, the following measures need to be taken for the daily management of sprouts:

(1) temperature: before sprouting, the temperature should be controlled at 18-22 ℃. After budding, the temperature can be raised appropriately, but it should not exceed 25 ℃.

(2) watering: watering is very important for sprouts and vegetables, which can be determined according to the weather. If the temperature is high, it can be watered 3-4 times a day. If the temperature is low, it can be watered once a day. Normal weather can ensure a watering frequency of about 2 times a day.

(3) Illumination: do not let sprouts come into contact with the sun, it is best to do shading treatment.

4. Harvest of sprouts and vegetables

Usually sprouts can be sprouted for a week, about 8-10 cm can be harvested and eaten.
