First prepare the ginger that germinates together but does not rot. If it does not sprout, you can first put the ginger into clear water to promote sprouting. Potted soil can use garden soil, sandy soil and humus soil, plus some mature fertilizer to keep the soil fertile and good air permeability. Cut the ginger when planting, each bud with part of the ginger meat, do not bury too deep. Pour water thoroughly, put it in a cool place, and you can see the ginger buds grow up in a week or so.

Field ginger

The first step of growing ginger in the field is to choose a suitable variety of ginger for planting. A good variety of ginger is the guarantee of ginger yield. The climatic characteristics of the local planting environment should be taken into account when selecting ginger varieties. And the diseased, rotten seeds in ginger need to be picked out, and it is best to disinfect them before planting.

Ginger must be prepared before planting, and sufficient base fertilizer is needed. Generally, about 2500 kilograms of organic fertilizer per mu and about 30 kilograms of potassium sulfate are needed. Then carry out reasonable close planting, and the number of ginger pieces per mu is determined according to local conditions.

During the field management, pay attention to the proper greenhouse sunshade, because ginger is sensitive to strong light, proper sunshade is beneficial to growth. In general, two or three times of intermediate tillage is needed in the growth process of ginger, and reasonable soil cultivation is beneficial to the growth of ginger. Topdressing is generally carried out with ploughing and soil cultivation, and topdressing is carried out according to the growth of soil and ginger. The first topdressing generally requires 20 kg of compound fertilizer and 10 kg of urea per mu. The second time requires 30 kg of compound fertilizer and 10 kg of potassium chloride.
