Last Updated: 2024/11/05, Chili is one of the essential vegetables in the family. Many people want to try it themselves, but they don't know how to plant it. Don't worry, let's start with understanding the price of seeds and planting methods! 1. How much is the price of pepper seeds? Cultivation of pepper

Pepper is one of the essential vegetables for families. Many people want to try growing chili peppers themselves, but they don't know how to grow chili peppers. Don't worry, let's start by knowing the seed price and planting methods.

What is the price of chili seeds?

There are many varieties of pepper, and their seed prices vary from variety to variety. When choosing and buying, we must first look at the variety, mainly depends on the characteristics of the variety, yield and so on, and then look at the price.

Generally speaking, the seed price of hot pepper is sold by package, mostly about 10 grams per pack, and the price range is about 10-50 yuan per pack.

Second, what are the planting methods of chili?

1. Selection of varieties and treatment of seedling soil.

Select disease-resistant varieties, soak and disinfect with copper sulfate solution before budding; select fertile plots of eggplant fruits and vegetables that have not been planted for three years, and use carbendazim to spray and disinfect evenly before sowing.

2. Sowing and raising seedlings

The seeds are treated before sowing, and the seeds are exposed to the sun for two days, which can not only improve the germination rate, but also kill the germs carried by the seeds, or soak them with diluted or potassium permanganate for sterilization, and then soak them in warm water for about 12 hours. Spread the seeds evenly on the seedbed, cover the soil with 1cm or so, spray water to moist the soil, keep the temperature between 25-28 degrees, germinate and germinate in about a week, and colonize the seedlings when they reach 5cm.

3. Planting management

The root system of hot pepper is weak, so it is suitable to be planted in trench or flat planting, and it should not be buried deeply at the beginning of planting, but should be covered with soil shallowly and gradually cultivated with its growth. The plant type of pepper is compact and can be planted densely. Generally, the spacing between plants is 30-45cm and the row spacing is 50-60cm. The growth of pepper is inseparable from water, the water is sufficient, and the flesh of the fruit is thick and juicy, so it needs to be watered frequently to keep the soil moist, but not too wet, otherwise it is easy to cause plant root rot, fungicides can be added regularly when watering.

The planting time is determined by the local climate, such as Guangdong, where the temperature is higher all the year round, so it can be planted at any time, while in other areas, the planting time is usually from March to July, when the temperature and light are suitable for the growth of chili peppers. Early sowing can make it grow more fully and harvest more fruit.

4. Field management

If the weather is dry after planting, the seedlings should be watered in time. Slow down the seedling and raise the seedling fertilizer once, apply diammonium phosphate 7 to 10 kg per mu, in order to promote the seedling to grow early, but the amount of topdressing can not be large, too much is easy to cause overgrowth. After slowing down the seedlings, one intertillage should be carried out in time to break the soil consolidation, increase the oxygen uptake of the roots, promote strong seedlings and prevent overgrowth. The temperature is relatively high in summer. When it doesn't rain, sandy loam should be watered once every 7 days, and cool well water should be watered in the evening. Watering with cool well water can reduce the field temperature from high temperature to suitable, and it will still have a cooling effect in the next few days.

It is not suitable to water during the day when the temperature is high. When the temperature is high, the temperature in the field will soon rise again.

In full fruit period, you can apply urea or diammonium phosphate 10 to 15 kg per mu for 3 or 4 times.

In the early and middle stages of growth, ploughing and weeding should be carried out in time to cultivate the soil, and it is not suitable for ploughing after fruit setting, so as to avoid diseases. After the Autumn Equinox, the temperature gradually decreased, the fruit growth slowed down, pay attention to the application of quick-acting fertilizer, combined with watering can apply diammonium phosphate 15 kg or urea 10 kg per mu, and pay attention to foliar spraying of potassium dihydrogen phosphate and trace element fertilizer to ensure the full growth of fruit in the later stage.

In midsummer, the air temperature is high, the air humidity is low, and the soil evaporation is large. In order to prevent excessive evaporation of soil moisture, it is appropriate to use rice straw or crop straw to cover a layer on the pepper box before the high temperature and drought. The main effects of this are as follows:

One is to lower the soil temperature and reduce the evaporation of surface water, so as to conserve water and fertilizer.

The second is to prevent weeds from growing.

The third is to reduce the impact of the big Rain Water on the surface soil and prevent the soil from hardening.

When the pepper fruit is dark green, hard and bright, it can be harvested and listed on the market.
