Soil pollution is concealed and cumulative, which belongs to compound and superimposed pollution, which is more difficult to control than water pollution and air pollution. At present, there are "Water pollution Prevention Law", "Air pollution Prevention Law" and "Marine Environmental Protection Law" in China, but there is no special law on soil environmental protection.

The soil pollution in our country is relatively serious, and the treatment work is extremely urgent, so it is necessary to adopt a three-pronged approach: first of all, because of the particularity of soil pollution, it is necessary to formulate and implement the soil pollution Prevention and Control Law as soon as possible and bring the treatment work into the legal track. Secondly, it is necessary to thoroughly find out the family background of soil pollution in the country, comprehensively consult the current situation of soil pollution, formulate scientific and effective prevention and control programs, implement soil treatment and remediation as soon as possible, curb the increase of pollution, and gradually reduce the stock of pollution. Third, it is necessary to control pollution scientifically and combine prevention and control. Soil pollution is a "complication", which is mainly caused by excessive heavy metals such as cadmium, mercury, lead and arsenic, so as to eliminate pollution sources, cut off pollution chain, and gradually degrade soil pollutants; at the same time, it should be controlled in coordination with water pollution and air pollution. On the other hand, soil pollution focuses on prevention, such as reasonable control and reduction of the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, and the construction of ecological agriculture.
