September and October is the best time to taste seafood, this time between summer and autumn, seafood production is rich, a wide variety of seafood, chrysanthemum crab fat, delicious taste, mouth-watering.

In the past 10 years, China's fishery economy has maintained rapid growth. In less than 16 years, the total amount of aquatic products has grown from about 39.06 million tons in 1998 to about 63 million tons in 2014. As a big country in the production, trade and consumption of aquatic products, the output of aquatic products in China ranks first in the world, and it is also the only country in the world where the output of aquaculture exceeds that of fishing.

Data show that in 2014, the growth rate of China's imports and exports of aquatic products gradually stabilized and rebounded, and achieved relatively rapid growth for the whole year. In 2014, China's total imports and exports of aquatic products totaled 8.4443 million tons and US $30.884 billion, up 3.87 percent and 6.86 percent respectively over the same period last year. The total volume of imports and exports exceeded 30 billion US dollars for the first time, a record high. However, while trade exports continue to maintain steady and rapid growth, some problems existing in China's aquatic product market still need to be paid enough attention to. On the one hand, it is the quality of aquatic products, on the other hand, it is the backwardness of aquatic products processing technology.

Recently, the State Food and Drug Administration released the situation of food safety supervision and sampling in the first half of the year. In the first half of the year, the Food and Drug Administration adopted a random sampling method to test 33252 batches of 24 types of food samples nationwide, of which 1236 batches of unqualified samples were tested, with a qualified rate of 96.3%. It is worth noting that among all the sampling products, the qualified rate of aquatic products and aquatic products is 92.8%, which is the lowest.

At the national seminar on the development of freshwater fisheries, Cui he, executive vice president and secretary general of the Aquatic Circulation and processing Association, pointed out that the main problems in the quality of aquatic products in China are veterinary drug residues and microbial pollution. The main reason for the problems is that there is a big gap in the supervision mechanism and testing level of aquatic product quality between our country and the international level, at the same time, the supervision is not strong enough, the quality inspection institutions are few, the technical level is low, and some enterprises can not exercise self-discipline, resulting in some vicious quality and safety incidents, which have a very bad impact on the whole aquaculture industry of our country. Therefore, it is urgent to solve the quality of aquatic products in our country from the source.

In addition, the current processing methods of aquatic products in China are still some distance from the developed countries. It is understood that the processing of aquatic products in the European Union has the characteristics of convenience, simulation, health care, beautification, fresh segmentation and so on. China's aquatic product processing should keep up with the international pace and learn from their advanced experience, so as to provide the competitiveness of aquatic products.
