Konjac is a common alkaline food. Since ancient times, there has been a laudatory name of "gut sand". It has a high planting prospect because of its easy planting, low investment cost and market price close to the people. at present, it is planted in many areas. what are the planting methods of konjac? Let's take a look at the planting methods and management techniques of konjac.

1. Introduction of Konjac

1. What does Konjac look like?

Amorphophallus konjac is a perennial herb of the genus Amorphophallus in Araceae, with plant height 40~70cm, bulbs similar to sweet potato in the ground, oblate in shape, millet-white meat, processing and edible; large green cylindrical leaves, petioles thick like stems, odor; October results.

2. Where does the konjac come from?

Amorphophallus konjac is mainly produced and distributed both at home and abroad. Among them, foreign countries are mainly distributed in Indonesia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Japan and other places. In China, it is mainly distributed in Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan, Shaanxi, Hubei and other places, among which the konjac resources in the mountains around Sichuan Basin are the most abundant.

2. Introduction of planting methods and management techniques of konjac:

1. Land selection and preparation:

Konjac likes to grow in an environment of warm climate, loose and fertile soil and good drainage, so try to choose sandy loam soil rich in humus for planting. After the selection, turn the ground depth around 40cm to facilitate later planting.

2. Lighting:

Konjac likes to grow in a semi-overcast environment, so it is necessary to shade it in summer. If there is no sunshade net, corn and other tall crops can be interplanted to promote the growth of konjac.

3. Sowing:

(1) seed taro treatment: before sowing, the seeds should be soaked in agricultural streptomycin soluble powder for about 1 hour, and then dry for 1 or 2 days, which can effectively kill the virus and reduce the occurrence of diseases.

(2) sowing time: end of March

(3) playback method: dig a ditch about 5cm, then put in the seedling cover soil, and then apply appropriate amount of poultry manure to cover it. When planting, the seedlings with small individuals should be selected as far as possible. in general, the best selection of white konjac and color konjac is 100g and 150g and 200g and 250g respectively.

4. Rational fertilization:

Amorphophallus konjac does not have high requirements for fertilizer, generally only in the seedling stage, the end of June and tuber expansion period to apply a small amount of farm fertilizer or compound fertilizer.

(1) topdressing at seedling stage: when the emergence rate is about 80%, about 5 jin of urea or dung and urine are applied per mu.

(2) from the end of June to the beginning of July: about 8 jin of urea or 20 jin of potash fertilizer was applied per mu and mixed with a small amount of poultry manure to promote tuber growth.

(3) during the period of tuber expansion, about 30 jin of potash fertilizer per mu was applied, and 2 times potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution fertilizer was sprayed from August to September.

5. Field management

(1) weeding: the root system of konjac is shallow, and all kinds of weeds will appear after growing for a period of time, which will affect the plant growth, so artificial weeding should be carried out according to the actual situation to prevent nutrient loss.

(2) clear ditches to cultivate soil: konjac is not resistant to drought and waterlogging, so drainage measures should be taken during planting, especially in the rainy season, to clear ditches and cultivate soil in time to prevent corm decay. In general, it is best to cultivate soil for 2 or 3 times in order to facilitate the formation of corms.

(3) picking flowers and topping: after konjac blossoms, the bud is cut off to promote the growth of lateral buds and leaves.

Third, how much is the market price of konjac per jin?

The market price of konjac is more close to the people, generally fresh konjac is about 1-2 yuan per jin, but due to the different origin and market, the price will also be different, so it is recommended to go to the local market to check.

Generally speaking, the price of konjac is not only close to the people, but also easy to grow, so as long as we do a good job in water and fertilizer, light and field management technology, we can easily increase the yield.
