1. Select improved varieties

2. Soil preparation and fertilization

The plots with flat terrain, fertile soil, convenient drainage and irrigation and few weeds were selected and ploughed 15 cm ~ 20 cm in early November, combined with 3000 kg of high quality mature organic fertilizer per mu and 25 kg of diammonium phosphate as base fertilizer.
