However, wild ginseng is almost gone now, so it is almost priceless in the market.

III. How to grow ginseng?

1. Selection of land:

Ginseng likes to grow in places with good drainage, fertile soil and rich organic matter, so when selecting land, try to choose sandy soil with water source and high terrain for planting. After selecting the land, the soil should be deeply turned three times and disinfected to reduce the occurrence of diseases and insect pests.

2. Soil preparation and fertilization:

After selecting the land, the land should be adjusted one month in advance. Generally, about 4000 jin of organic fertilizer should be applied per mu of land, and a ridge of 30cm high and 1.5 m wide and a ditch of 30cm deep and 50cm wide should be made to facilitate later planting.

3. Sowing seedlings

(1)Seed selection: In order to improve the survival rate, when selecting seeds, try to select the seeds without damage and disease, and generally select the dry seeds collected in the first half of the year.

(2)Seed treatment: dry seeds in warm water to fully absorb water, and then add fine sand to stir evenly into the wooden box to germinate. Generally put the wooden box in about 20 degrees environment can promote seed germination.

(3)Sowing time: around April

(4)Sowing method: Ginseng sowing method has four methods: sowing, sowing, drilling and transplanting, among which sowing is the most common method, the specific sowing method is to sow seeds in the soil, and then cover the soil about 4cm, watering appropriate amount of water. When sowing, it is best to sow 0.5g per square meter to promote seed germination.

4. Transplanting

(1)Transplantation time: Ginseng is divided into two transplanting methods: spring planting or autumn planting. Spring planting is generally carried out from late March to early April; autumn planting is generally carried out from early October to early November.

(2)Transplanting method: before transplanting, select the ginseng seedlings with good quality and no disease, soak the roots in carbendazim or zinc solution for about 10 minutes to prevent disease, then plant them obliquely on the seedbed according to the size and growth period of the ginseng seedlings, and finally cover the soil and smooth the soil. In general, 20cm spacing and 10cm spacing are suitable for 2-or 3-year-old seedlings, and 25cm spacing and 15cm spacing are suitable for 4-year-old seedlings.

5. Scientific management

(1)Loose soil: During ginseng growth, loosen the soil once in early April, early May, June and August to improve soil moisture and promote ginseng growth.

(2)Shading: Ginseng is afraid of strong light, so in April to May, fresh branches with leaves are inserted in the front eaves of the shade and on the side of the ground to properly shade, in case of strong light exposure, resulting in ginseng withering.

(3)Bud picking: Ginseng will blossom and bear fruit after 3 years of growth, so in mid-May, all buds should be removed to promote underground rhizome growth. When plucking buds, the ginseng kept as seedlings only needs to remove 1/3~1/2 buds at the early stage of flowering.

6. Disease control

Ginseng growth period, there will be blight, black spot, anthracnose and other diseases, so we must do a good job of control measures. If the disease has occurred, it can be controlled by using Likuling control agent, Senzinc wettable powder or Bordeaux mixture.

The total tax, ginseng price is not expensive, mainly depends on the size and quality of specifications, so try to go to the local market consultation when purchasing. In addition, if you want to plant ginseng well, you need to do a good job in seedling management, garden management and other management work, so as to improve yield and increase benefits.
