Planting time of asparagus

Puccinellia oleifera is native to tropical rainy areas in China and is suitable for growing in humid areas. It is a green leafy vegetable widely cultivated in summer and autumn in Lingnan area. The following will explain the planting method and time of asparagus in detail with you.

1. Planting time of asparagus

1. Planting asparagus in open field

Planting asparagus in the open field can generally start sowing in April-July, and it must be harvested before Frosts Descent. Asparagus likes high temperature and humid environment, suitable for moist soil, like sufficient light. The requirements of soil conditions are not strict and like fertilizer and water, so if the northern vegetable friends want to grow hollow vegetables outdoors, they must grasp the season.

2. Planting of asparagus in greenhouse

Cultivation in greenhouse can basically be produced and supplied every year. In order to obtain higher economic benefits, it should be sowed from October to December and listed from December to March of the following year.

Second, the planting method of asparagus

1. Management of seeding machine after sowing

(1) sowing

Soak seeds to promote germination first, sow seeds in holes according to row spacing of 35 cm and hole spacing of 15-18 cm, sowing 3-5 seeds per hole, and seed consumption of 2.5-3.0 kg per mu. Seedling transplanting, can be combined with inter-pull seedlings on the market, using seedling border sowing sparse seedling method, seed overlying 1 cm after sowing, nursery bed area of 50-60 m 2 per mu of planting field, seed amount of about 2.0 kg.

(2) Post-broadcast management

After sowing, it is necessary to preserve moisture and keep warm. After emergence, when the seedling height is 3 cm, it is necessary to strengthen fertilizer and water management and apply urea along the water, the amount of fertilizer per mu is about 5 kg. Avoid drought during the seedling period. The seedling has 2 leaves and 1 heart, and the distance between the seedlings is about 6 cm. During the growth period, you can spray 20 mg / L gibberellin solution or Yunda-120 (10 mg to 30 liters of water), once every 10 days, twice in a row. Seedlings with 4-5 leaves were transplanted into the field.

2. Planting of asparagus.

(1) fertilization and soil preparation

Select high-quality and fertile sandy loam soil, about 4.3 meters per mu of mature organic fertilizer, 50 kilograms of diammonium phosphate, ploughing and raking fine to make a border, the border is 1.0-1.2 meters wide.

(2) colonization

For direct seeding, the seeds should be planted according to the row spacing of (15-18) cm x 35 cm. For those who raise seedlings, about 30 days after sowing, the seedling height is 17-20 cm according to 30 cm x 35 cm row spacing, 3-4 plants per hole, or 18 cm x 35 cm plant spacing, 2 plants per hole. When planting, we should first irrigate the seedling bed, then take the soil tuo planting, in order to slow down the seedlings.

3. Field management

(1) Fertilizer and water management

After planting, the management of fertilizer and water should be strengthened, about 10 kg of available nitrogen fertilizer should be applied per mu, the topdressing should not be large, and the soil should be kept moist during plant growth. The seedling height is about 30 cm, and each harvest should be topdressing. The standard is topdressing urea 10-15 kg per mu to promote the occurrence and growth of new shoots.

(2) weeding by ploughing

In order to prevent border hardening and weeds and affect plant growth, shallow hoe can be used when the border surface is white to promote the development of root system and create a favorable environment for the robust growth of plants.

(3) temperature management

The production of asparagus should keep the temperature as high as possible. The temperature of greenhouse production is no more than 35 ℃, and the lowest temperature at night is above 15 ℃. In order to promote the growth of asparagus, a small arch shed can be added to increase the temperature in the solar greenhouse during the low temperature period.

4. Harvest of asparagus

The method of harvesting hollow cabbage is generally adopted. When the first harvest is more than 30 centimeters, leave the lower part 9-12 centimeters, and harvest the upper tender shoots. After that, the new shoots growing from the axils of I leaves will be harvested for the second time when they are 15 centimeters long, but 2-3 leaves should be left in the lower part to promote more shoots and ensure high yield. After the third harvest, only 1-2 leaves were left under each new shoot to prevent too many new shoots and premature senescence of the plant. At the same time, too many dense branches at the base of the plant were removed to achieve the purpose of renewing and maintaining a reasonable population.
