When will the eggplant of "Kunlun purple melon" be planted? If you master these planting methods, you can have a high yield!
Eggplant is a common vegetable in China, which is more common in summer. It is deeply loved by people because of its high nutritional value, various practices and never getting tired of eating. At present, eggplant is being planted in many areas, so when will Kunlun purple melon eggplant be planted? How to grow a high yield?
First, eggplant introduction:
1. What are the varieties of eggplant?
Round eggplant, long eggplant, dwarf eggplant, lantern red eggplant
2. Where does eggplant come from?
There are many producing areas of eggplant, which are distributed both at home and abroad, of which tropical Asia (India, Thailand) is the country of origin and the most cultivated, accounting for about 74% of the world's total output. It is planted in most parts of China, and it is one of the main vegetables in summer, such as Hunan, Hubei, Yunnan, Sichuan, Shandong, Guangxi and so on.
When will the eggplant be planted?
Eggplant is an annual herb, which is suitable for growing at 20-30 degrees, so it is suitable for planting in early spring or early autumn. The specific planting time is as follows:
The main results are as follows: 1. the planting time in early spring: sowing from the end of December to February of the following year, and harvest from April to June.
2. Planting time in early autumn: sowing from July to August, and harvesting from October to December.
3. Planting time in greenhouse: seedlings are usually raised in December in winter and planted in greenhouse in January. In summer, seedlings are usually raised in June and planted in the greenhouse in July.
Third, how to grow Kunlun purple melon eggplant?
1. Seed selection: what kind of variety is good?
As eggplant has many varieties such as heat resistance, cold resistance and strong disease resistance, we must choose varieties suitable for local climate when selecting varieties. For example, heat-tolerant varieties can be selected in areas with higher temperatures, cold-tolerant varieties can be selected in relatively low-temperature areas, and Rain Water-tolerant varieties can be selected in places where there are more Rain Water.
2. Soil selection and soil preparation: what kind of soil is suitable?
Eggplant likes to grow in an environment with loose and fertile soil and good drainage, so when selecting land, you can choose sunny land with good drainage. Before planting, try to turn the land deeply and make field beds above 30cm to facilitate later planting.
3. Sowing: when will it be sown? How to sow seeds?
(1) seed treatment: because the eggplant has pectin on the skin, the seeds with better quality should be selected before sowing, then soaked in 1% potassium permanganate solution for 30 minutes, then rinsed repeatedly with clean water for several times, then soaked in 55 degrees hot water for 15 minutes, then transferred to 20 degrees warm water for one day, and finally rubbed the mucus off the seed coat with fine sand. Put the bag in a wet cloth and put it in an attached environment of about 30 degrees for about 6 days.
(2) sowing time: spring sowing or autumn sowing, spring sowing in January to February, autumn sowing in July to August.
(3) seeding rate: generally, the amount of seed used per mu is 1520g.
(4) sowing method: sow the treated seeds evenly on the seedling tray or wooden box and let them grow freely. Generally, it is suitable to sow 35g and 40g seeds per square meter seedling tray.
4. Dividing seedlings: how to divide seedlings?
The seedlings will emerge after 5-6 days of sowing. At this time, the seedlings should be transplanted to the seedling field with the row distance of 8~10cm, and the seedlings should be watered and fertilized to meet the water and nutrition for growth.
5. Field management technology: how to manage the field well?
(1) Fertilizer and water management: eggplant has higher requirements for water and fertilizer, and generally requires a higher amount of fertilizer during the long fruit period, so it is necessary to apply less fertilizer at the seedling stage and pollination stage, and then apply fertilizer and water in time to promote the fruit expansion, and when the fruit color changes color, stop fertilizing, only need to ensure that the soil is moist.
(2) pruning: after eggplant grows for a period of time, there will be diseased branches, branching branches, dense branches and other unfavorable branches, so these unfavorable branches should be pruned according to the actual situation to ensure good vegetable garden permeability and improve fruit setting rate.
(3) temperature control: eggplant has higher requirements for temperature, and it is necessary to control the temperature when it enters the flowering and fruit stage. For example, in the fruiting period, the suitable temperature is about 25 degrees in the day and 18 degrees in the evening can effectively promote flower bud differentiation and improve fruit setting rate.
(4) Prevention and control of diseases and insect pests: what kind of medicine should be used for prevention and control?
During the growth of eggplant, there will be anthrax, Verticillium wilt, aphids, red spiders and other diseases and insect pests, so prevention and control measures should be taken in advance. If diseases and insect pests have occurred, special agents or manual control methods can be used to control them.
(4.1) anthrax: chlorothalonil, methyl thiophanate, Dysen zinc and other agents can be used to spray wet leaves.
(4.2) Verticillium wilt: it can be sprayed with 500 times of 70% dimethazone wettable powder.
Aphids: aphids can be treated by spraying with a special agent (1500 times the solution of propargite).
(4.4) Red spider: thoroughly clean up the residual branches, diseased branches and leaves in the garden, and burn them centrally to reduce the source of insects, at the same time, you can use insecticide to kill in time.
The above is the eggplant planting time and planting technology, I hope it will be helpful to everyone.
