The 2nd Tea Conference focuses on tea quality and safety
The second Tea Industry Conference, sponsored by the China Association for the Promotion of International Cooperation in Agriculture, was held at the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences on September 19-20. Representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, the Department of Agriculture of Shaanxi Province and other local agricultural departments, Chinese and foreign trade associations and Chinese and foreign tea enterprises attended the meeting, and the tea industry standards and quality and safety became the focus topic.
From the point of view of the traceability management of the tea industry and the innovation of supervision methods, experts put forward suggestions to improve the quality and safety of tea, as well as through the rational use of pesticides and strengthening field management to reduce pesticide residues in tea. The conference also held a licensing ceremony for the first batch of 10 recognized bases of the "National Ecological Tea Garden demonstration Base" initiated by the Tea Industry Committee of the China Association for the Promotion of International Agricultural Cooperation.
