It is famous for its "color, fragrance, appearance and rhyme". It has left the everlasting song of "peony flowers and the best in Phnom Penh". Is that Phnom Penh Daphne poisonous? How to maintain flowering?

Is Phnom Penh Daphne poisonous?

There is no poison in Phnom Penh. The rumors are just rumors and have no scientific basis, and studies have shown that Phnom Penh Daphne is often poisonous because of its strong fragrance. This is not the problem of Phnom Penh Ruixiang, but all friends who have common sense of growing flowers all know that plants with rich flower scent can not be put in a closed environment, especially the maintenance of the bedroom, which will cause a slight headache after a long time, and should be maintained in a well-ventilated place with balcony lights.

Phnom Penh Daphne is not only non-toxic, but also has the effects of anti-inflammation, regulating immunity, analgesia, bacteriostasis and anti-tumor.

Second, how to maintain the flowering of Phnom Penh Daphne?

1. Soil

Before raising Daphne, you can put some organic fertilizer at the bottom of the basin as base fertilizer, which will help coriander grow better. Daphne is suitable to grow in loose and fertile acid soil containing humus, and the ventilation and drainage performance of the soil is equally important to the growth and development of Daphne odora, which can effectively avoid the problem of water accumulation. The soil of Ruixiang is composed of vegetable garden soil, perlite, rotten leaf soil, river sand and so on.

2. Moisture

Daphne likes the humid environment, but does not need to keep the soil moist all the time. It needs watering only when the soil is dry. It is watered once a day in spring and autumn and twice a day in summer, because the temperature in summer is higher and the water evaporates faster. You can also spray some water mist on the leaves to keep the flowers moist.

3. Fertilization

In the growth stage of Daphne odora, some compound fertilizers can be applied every ten days, and some liquid fertilizers, such as cake fertilizer, water, potassium dihydrogen phosphate and calcium carbonate, can be added before and after flowering, once a week. In this way, the color of the flowers will become brighter, the branches and leaves will turn green, and the flowering time will be prolonged, but remember not to apply too much nitrogen fertilizer, which may cause the flowers to grow too long in winter and should stop fertilizing.

4. Lighting

Daphne is suitable for growing in a semi-cloudy environment, but it also needs light, and astigmatism is enough for it to grow. Daphne can also be properly placed in the sun for two hours in the morning, and care should be taken to avoid contact between Ruixiang and strong light. In winter, because the light is not strong, Ruixiang can be put in the sun.

5. Temperature

Daphne is neither cold nor heat resistant. The suitable temperature of Daphne is between 12 and 23 degrees Celsius. If the temperature is too high, more than 25 degrees Celsius, the incense will stop growing and enter the dormant period. If the temperature is too low, the roots of Daphne will be frostbitten. Therefore, in winter, we should do a good job of heat preservation of Ruixiang.
