Chinese cabbage is a common vegetable with good taste and taste. It has the functions of relieving bowels, invigorating the stomach, relieving thirst and diuresis. It can also nourish appearance and protect skin when eaten in winter. So, how to grow Chinese cabbage? When will you plant it? The following is the planting method and time introduction of Chinese cabbage!

A brief introduction to Chinese cabbage!

1. What's the name of Chinese cabbage?

Chinese cabbage, also known as heading Chinese cabbage, cabbage, yellow bud white, gum cabbage, Shaoxing vegetable and so on, is a leaf vegetable of Cruciferae and Brassica campestris, which originated in the north of China, was later introduced to the south, and is now cultivated in all parts of the north and south.

2. Is Chinese cabbage nutritious?

Chinese cabbage contains sugars, fat, protein, crude fiber, calcium, phosphorus, iron, carotene, thiamine, niacin, vitamins and other nutrient elements. the contents of vitamin C and riboflavin are 5 and 4 times higher than those of apple and pear, respectively. the content of trace element zinc is higher than that of meat. According to traditional Chinese medicine, Chinese cabbage has the effect of nourishing stomach and promoting fluid, eliminating annoyance and relieving thirst, diuresis and defecation, heat-clearing and detoxification.

How to grow Chinese cabbage?

1. Soil: strong water and fertility conservation and good structure.

Chinese cabbage has shallow roots and high requirements for soil moisture and nutrients, so it is necessary to choose soils with strong water and fertility conservation and good structure. As continuous cropping of Chinese cabbage is prone to disease, rotation should be carried out to avoid continuous cropping with cruciferous vegetables. it can be rotated with beans, cucumbers, tomatoes and so on.

2. Land preparation: deep ploughing, Kang soil, raking land, making beds, applying basic fertilizer.

In order to make the root system of Chinese cabbage develop well, deep ploughing is required, and in order to reduce diseases and insect pests, Kang soil should be carried out. The seeds of Chinese cabbage are small, and the terrain is flat and the soil is fine. Therefore, the land for planting Chinese cabbage should be ploughed deeply, then Kang land, and then shallow ploughing and raking, smashing and leveling the land, and then making the border, ditching and applying fully mature base fertilizer when making the border.

3. Seed selection: select suitable seeds.

If North China is used to supply the market in late autumn and early winter, it is appropriate to select flowering or heading varieties with short growing period, early maturity, heat resistance, disease resistance and no need for storage; if they are used for storage over the winter, heading varieties with long growing period, high yield and storage tolerance should be selected; if they are in northern Xinjiang, Ningxia and other areas, varieties with early maturity, strong winter and not easy to bolting should be selected.

4. Sowing: direct seeding or sowing seedlings and transplanting.

Chinese cabbage generally uses direct seeding, which is dominated by strip sowing and supplemented by on-demand. The amount of seeds used for direct seeding is about 200 grams per mu. Can also sow seedlings and transplant, each planting 1 mu of field, about 5-6 square meters of seedling bed, 75-100 grams of seed, after direct seeding, apply rotten human feces and urine, and then water once every morning and evening, and seedlings can emerge in 3-4 days. Seedling transplanting can be carried out in cloudy or sunny evening, transplanting with soil, and watering with fixed root water after planting.

5. Management: seedling, topdressing, watering, loosening soil, prevention of diseases and insect pests.

(1) Seedling: if it is direct seeding, two seedlings should be carried out at the right time, and finally, one strong seedling should be left in each hole; if it is seedling transplanting, pay attention to the spacing between rows.

(2) topdressing: after the Chinese cabbage was planted and survived, 15% of the feces and urine of the rotten acquaintances were recovered every 3-4 days, and 30% of the feces and urine of the rotten acquaintances were recovered every 5-7 days after entering the rosette stage, and 50% of the feces and urine of the rotten acquaintances were applied per mu after enclosing the heart, and the vegetation plants were no longer fertilized after being closed.

(3) watering: the seedling stage should be poured and moisturized frequently, and the rosette stage should be dry and wet. Furrow irrigation can be used when the water seeps into the soil. After the water seeps into the soil, the residual water should be discharged at the extreme time, so that there is no water in the ditch, no water on the border surface and no water shortage in the root system.

(4) loosening the soil: weeding and loosening the soil before topdressing. If it is after a long time of rain and sunshine, the Kang field should be ploughed in time, and the rosette should be cultivated to form a ridge.

(5) Diseases and pests: the main diseases of Chinese cabbage are downy mildew and soft rot, and the pests are aphids and cabbage insects, which can be controlled by spraying.
