How to plant Persian chrysanthemum seeds? When is it suitable for planting?
The plant of Persian chrysanthemum is tall and its flowers are light and showy. It can be used not only as cut flowers, but also as urban garden flowers. When sowing and breeding, Persian chrysanthemum is the main way of reproduction, so how to plant Persian chrysanthemum seeds? When is it suitable for planting?
First, how to plant Persian chrysanthemum seeds?
1. Prepare the land for bedding
The root system of Persian chrysanthemum is shallow, and the soil preparation depth is generally controlled at 20~30cm. According to the soil texture, the sand should be shallow and the clay should be deep. Before ploughing, sprinkle organic fertilizer and peat soil on the soil surface, turn it into the subsoil together with the topsoil as base fertilizer, and improve the soil at the same time.
In fact, the process of soil preparation can also play a certain role in insecticidal, sterilization and weeding, which has a good preventive effect on diseases, pests and weeds.
2. Seed soaking treatment
Soak the seeds before sowing the seeds, which can ensure that the seeds absorb enough water in a short time. At present, there are two methods of soaking seeds in cold water (25 ℃ ~ 30 ℃) and warm water (50 ℃ ~ 55 ℃).
In contrast, soaking seeds in warm water is better than cold water, and the time is short. Soaking seeds in warm water for 12 hours provides suitable temperature and oxygen for seeds, maintains the relative humidity of the air, and promotes seed germination. The soaking time of seeds should not be too long, and the seeds are perishable.
3. Sowing seeds at the right time
Persian chrysanthemum is more suitable for sowing in spring and summer. If it is sown in early spring, it can blossom from May to June and from July to August, it can blossom in October.
Because the seeds of Persian chrysanthemum are relatively small, the combination of sowing method and strip sowing method can be adopted. First, ring trenches are dug with the distance between 20cm trenches. In order to prevent seedling emergence from being too dense, fine sand can be mixed with seeds at 10:1 and sown together. Cover the seeds with a layer of fine soil after sowing.
After sowing, in order to improve the germination rate, we can spray water on the soil properly. Of course, if there are more Rain Water, we need to take some rain-proof measures, such as covering a film and so on.
Second, when is the Persian chrysanthemum suitable for planting?
1. The planting time of Persian chrysanthemum
The planting here refers to the interplanting and planting of Persian chrysanthemum after sowing. Generally, the first interseedling is carried out when the seedlings are all out and the cotyledons are fully expanded and begin to grow true leaves, and the second interseedling is carried out at 3-4 true leaves. If it is sown in early spring, the seedlings can usually be planted at the end of March and summer sowing at the end of August.
2. Post-planting management of Persian chrysanthemum.
(1) watering
In Rain Water's abundant season, the soil is usually watered when the sun clears up, and the soil can be watered 1-2 times a week in the dry season to keep the soil moist.
(2) fertilization
Organic fertilizer is used as base fertilizer, of course, chicken manure mud carbon soil can also be mixed into the soil as base fertilizer. In the stage of growth and development, topdressing is needed for many times.
(3) Lighting
Light also has a great effect on the growth and development of Persian chrysanthemum seedlings. Under the condition of sufficient light, the plant grows healthily and blossoms more, so the site should be in the sunny place.
