How to grow clivia in order to flourish

Some people say it's difficult to raise a gentleman's orchid, others say it's easy. The trick is watering, but watering is not an easy task. Even people who have been raising orchids for many years sometimes do not understand how often they are watered. How can a gentleman's orchid thrive?

First, how often is the gentleman orchid watered

1. For any kind of plant, there is no exact stipulation for watering every few days. The watering of magnolia can not be determined by the specific number of days and times. Because the seasons are different, the culture environment, the surrounding temperature and humidity, the use of pots and other conditions are different, if you mechanically set a specific time for it to water, it will only cause too much watering root rot or excessive lack of water root dry.

In general, we decide whether to water or not according to the growth state of the orchid, the season, and the dry and wet state of the basin soil. When the basin soil is too dry, it needs to be watered in time. But watering must not be watered more at one time to prevent stagnant water in the basin, resulting in rotten roots.

2. Watering methods in different seasons:

(1) watering once a day in spring

(2) watering in summer, the leaf surface and the surrounding ground can be watered together with a fine sprinkler, twice a day in sunny days.

(3) watering once every other day in autumn

(4) watering once every other day in winter and once a week or less in winter.

Second, how to keep the magnolia exuberant?

1. The temperature is suitable

It likes the humid and semi-overcast environment and is afraid of the cold. When the temperature is below 5 degrees, it will enter the dormant period. Therefore, the best temperature for its growth is between 15 and 25 degrees. If it is greater than 30 degrees, the plant will no longer grow, and the leaves will become very long and dense, greatly reducing the ornamental value.

2. Appropriate humidity

The humidity depends on the specific situation, to meet the water needs of the leaves, but the humidity should not be higher than 90%, otherwise the leaves will grow too much.

3. Suitable lighting

Cymbidium is a kind of flower that likes shade. The growth of Cymbidium is optically oriented. As long as there is enough astigmatism and good ventilation, it is very suitable for the growth of Cymbidium.

4. Proper watering

Water the leaf surface and the surrounding ground together with a fine spray kettle in spring, once a day in spring, twice a day in sunny days, once every other day in autumn, and once a week or less in winter.
