The Central Meteorological Observatory will discuss precipitation tips in the south to provide autumn harvest service.

On September 23, the morning weather meeting of the Central Meteorological Observatory focused on the fog and haze in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, as well as the weather process of heavy rainfall in Sichuan Basin and Northwest China, suggesting that meteorological services for autumn harvest and autumn planting should be done well.

He Lifu, chief forecaster of the Central Meteorological Observatory, said that today and tomorrow, the main rainfall areas are located in western China, southern Gansu, south-central Shaanxi, eastern Sichuan and other places with light to moderate rain and local heavy rain. There will also be obvious rainfall processes in the northwest and south of Yunnan, the central part of Northeast China and southern Jiangsu.

At present, it is the time of autumn harvest and autumn planting, and the agricultural weather forecast for autumn harvest made by the Central Meteorological Observatory shows that from September 23 to 25, the precipitation process in the northeast is not conducive to crop maturity and harvest; there is moderate to heavy rain in the southwest and Jianghan, and local rainstorms are not conducive to autumn harvest and autumn planting.

According to news from the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Environmental Center, the air quality in Beijing was mainly excellent on Sept. 23, while there was light haze in central and southern Hebei affected by residual particulates. On the night of 23, there was light fog in Beijing, Tianjin and parts of Hebei. On the night of 24, haze gradually dissipated under the influence of cold air.

When it is the Autumn Equinox's season, most parts of China have entered a cool autumn, the temperature in the north will drop further, and the cold air going south meets the gradually attenuating warm and humid air, which will form the phenological characteristics of "one autumn rain and one cold". Weather experts warn that the public should pay attention to adding clothes, and the elderly, children and people with weaker physique should beware of various diseases that are prone to seasonal changes.
