The first difference is that black plum is a small tree of plum in Rosaceae, and plum is a deciduous tree of plum in subfamily Prunus of Rosaceae.

Second, the appearance is different: the black plum is 1.5~3cm in diameter, the pericarp is brownish black or black, the outer skin is soft and can be peeled off, the surface wrinkles are different, and there are pockmarked spots on the surface of the kernel, which looks like almonds and tastes sour. The plum fruit is small, the diameter is generally in 1~1.5cm, the pericarp is dark brown or grayish brown, there is a layer of wax powder on the surface, the outer skin is very thin, wrinkled, the kernel surface is spotless, the shape is oval or flat oval, it is also sour to eat, but the two are very easy to distinguish in appearance.

Third, the way to eat is different: black plum is relatively sour, mostly used for soaking water to drink or being made into medicine; plums are also sour to eat, but most of them are eaten directly.

Difference 4, the effect is different: black plum has the effect of invigorating stomach, clearing blood, relieving alcohol, relieving cough, diarrhea and pain, and often eating can increase appetite and promote digestion, but women's menstruation, childbirth, cold and fever or children are not suitable to eat; plums have the effect of diuresis and detumescence, tonifying the liver, and regular consumption can have a certain auxiliary effect on liver cirrhosis.

Difference 5, the price is different: Wumei is mostly processed, and the price is expensive; plums are generally picked and sold directly, so the price is not expensive.

Generally speaking, black plum is the dried fruit of Rosaceae plant plum, which is made by fireworks and is often eaten to promote digestion and strengthen the stomach, but it is not suitable for women during menstruation, pregnancy and colds. In addition, although Wumei is similar to plums, there are some differences in appearance, efficacy and price, so it is easy to identify them.
