Where is the origin of oranges?

Oranges grow mostly in the vast areas of Zhejiang, Fujian, Hunan, Hubei and other provinces in China, where there is more output.

The grafting method commonly used in the growth of orange trees can be carried out in spring, summer and autumn, and autumn is the most suitable, with a general survival rate of more than 90%. When grafting, first deal with the rootstock, and then cut the bud.

Using T-shaped bud grafting, first cut the T-shaped opening at 3 cm above the ground of the rootstock, the depth is suitable to see the xylem and can peel off the bark of the rootstock, and then carefully peel off the bark of the rootstock with the tip of the knife to insert the shield-shaped bud with petiole quickly. After that, the soil is 10 centimeters high. After 10-15 days, dig up the soil and check the survival. If the bud is fresh light green and the petiole falls at a touch, it means that it has survived, otherwise it has not survived, it should be reconnected behind the rootstock.

Post-management:

After the spring of the following year, the seedlings grafted were cut off at a place of 18cm and 20cm above the budding point to untie the binding material. Pruning 3 or 4 times in summer to cut off the branches from the rootstock. When the new branch grows to 8cm and 10cm, tie it to the living pile near the base; when it reaches 20cm to 25cm, tie it to the upper end again. Until the Lignification is grafted and the living piles are cut off, the seedlings can continue to be cultivated in the field.
