Peanuts have been recognized as one of the delicious and nutritious foods since ancient times, so they are very popular, so what are the precautions for peanut cultivation? Let's get to know it together.

1. Time

Planting time directly affects the yield and quality of peanuts. Peanuts are a kind of plants that are afraid of cold, so they usually wait for the soil temperature to rise before sowing. Secondly, we should consider the effects of high temperature and heavy rain or high temperature and less rain on the growth of peanuts in summer. So we'd better sow early at the right time, because peanuts with high temperature and less rain can not grow normally, while high temperature and rain will cause newly formed peanuts to sprout. All this will affect the yield of peanuts, so the best planting time is from the end of March to mid-April.

2. Seeds

To treat the seeds before seed selection and planting, we should first select seeds with relatively large particles and very full seeds that are not affected by diseases and insect pests. Such seeds are easier to sprout, and peanuts from good seeds will be better. Before planting, we need to bask the peanut seeds in the sun, which can play the role of sterilization. At the same time, we can mix the seeds with chemicals when conditions permit. In this way, the resistance of the plant can be enhanced, and after all the treatment, the seeds can be sown.

3. Soil

Peanut fruit mainly grows in soil, and suitable soil is more conducive to peanut growth and improve peanut fruit rate, so when choosing soil, we should pay attention to choose soil with high content of nutrients and organic matter and good drainage. Sandy soil is planted in loose soil, the water storage capacity of sandy soil is not good, peanuts are easy to die, so sandy soil is not suitable for planting.

4. Density

Reasonable density can not only improve the fruit rate of peanuts, but also reduce the occurrence of many unnecessary diseases. The best planting density is to sow seeds according to the distance of 30 cm between each row and about 20 cm between each plant. This can not only make full use of the land, but also improve the fruit rate, thus increasing the yield of peanuts.

5. Fertilizer and water

The fertilizer and water management of peanut is more important, it is different from other crops, if the base fertilizer is enough, peanuts usually do not need secondary fertilization, because later fertilization will reduce the quality of peanuts, resulting in a phenomenon that only seedlings do not bear peanuts, so we had better apply enough base fertilizer at the beginning, and secondly, if the nutrients are not enough. It is best to top fertilizer in the early stage of peanut growth, so as to reduce its impact on peanuts, peanuts generally do not need to be watered, natural rainfall is enough to allow peanuts to grow, and drainage is needed when necessary.

6. Disease prevention

In fact, there are few diseases in the whole growth process of peanuts, but there are still pests. Usually there are a lot of leaf-eating bugs when the peanut leaves are relatively green, and then they have to be sprayed with insecticides. Secondly, when peanuts are about to mature, there will be a lot of underground pests and voles and other fruits harmful to peanuts, so we can use drugs to fill roots, and at the same time use trapping and killing methods to trap and kill voles.

These are the matters needing attention in peanut planting. I hope I can help you!
