Because of its bright leaf color and long ornamental period, it is often used to decorate flower beds and has a high ornamental effect.

Second, how to grow kale?

1. Time: cabbage likes a warm environment and is more hardy, and the most suitable temperature for growth is 20 to 28 degrees. Therefore, it is better to plant in April in spring and September in autumn, but the planting time is different in different regions and different climates.

2. Soil preparation: cabbage is not very strict in soil selection, but it is better to plant in humus-rich clay loam or sandy loam. Continuous cropping land can not be selected. After selection, the sundries between the land should be cleaned up. Then turn over, explode, and apply sufficient base fertilizer.

3. Seed selection: there are many varieties of cabbage, and they adapt to different environments, so the most suitable varieties should be selected according to the environment of the region. For example, kale has relatively good heat resistance and water resistance, and is suitable for planting in many areas; for example, kale, which is heat-resistant, cold-resistant and disease-resistant, is suitable for planting on flat land; for example, three-season green cabbage is suitable for planting in spring, summer and autumn.

4. Sowing: you can sow on demand, or raise seedlings and transplant. On demand is to sow the seeds according to a certain distance, and then hide the seeds until the seedlings emerge; seedling transplanting is to raise seedlings on the seedling bed first, and wait for the seedlings to grow 6-8 true leaves and transplant in cloudy or sunny evenings.

5. Watering: cabbage likes a humid environment. After transplanting, it should be watered every three to five days to wait for survival. When the leaves are rolled up, water should be fully watered. When entering the late stage of the rosette, the early stage of the heart should be watered. At the end of the rosette, the water should be properly controlled. If there are a lot of Rain Water, it should be drained in time.

6. Fertilization: after formal survival, cabbage seedlings should be fertilized for the first time and weeded by ploughing and weeding, which requires an average of 100 jin of urea per mu, and the second fertilization should be carried out when rolling leaves. An average of 1000 jin of farm manure, 50 jin of potash fertilizer, 50 jin of compound fertilizer and 30 jin of phosphate fertilizer are needed per mu.

7. Harvest: when the leaf ball reaches tight real-time, it can be harvested. Sometimes due to too much moisture, the ball is relatively loose, so it can be tied up slightly with straw and 2 outer leaves can be retained during harvest to protect the leaf ball.

8. Diseases and pests: the diseases of cabbage are mainly downy mildew and black root disease. Downy mildew can be sprayed with chlorothalonil every five or six days, and it will be cured after two or three times. Black root disease can be controlled by spraying chlorothalonil; pests are mainly aphids and cabbage insects, which can be controlled by corresponding chemical spraying.
