Planting technique of hand ginseng (bergamot ginseng)
Palm ginseng is also called bergamot ginseng, hand ginseng, yin and yang grass, etc. It is named because it looks like palm. It has high medicinal value and is a kind of medicinal material with high economic value. Today, Xiao Bian will introduce the planting technology of palm ginseng for everyone.
1. Land selection and preparation
Palm ginseng generally grows in alpine grassland or forest edge land. It has strict requirements for soil. It requires that the soil pH value is between 4.5 and 5.8. It is better to plant it in sandy loam or loam rich in humus and convenient for irrigation. Continuous cropping is avoided. Generally, it is cultivated under the forest. If farmland is selected for planting, cutting crops are used as grass crops. After land selection, ploughing is required for 1-2 times in winter of the first year. After thawing in spring of the next year, ploughing is combined. 4000 kg of decomposed farm manure is applied per mu as base fertilizer. After shaping and leveling, make ridges and dig drainage ditches at the same time.
2. Reproductive methods
The seeds are generally selected for propagation during production, and the seeds are harvested and sown immediately after maturity. After the seeds overwinter in the soil, they can emerge in the spring of the next year. The seeds can also be stored in sand for germination treatment and sown again in spring. In this way, the germination rate of seeds can be improved. When sowing, drill sowing is carried out on the ridge surface according to the plant spacing of 3×5 cm, and the soil is covered with 2-3 cm. Then a layer of straw or straw is covered on the ridge surface to keep warm and moisture, so as to facilitate emergence.
3. Seedling transplanting
Weeding, loosening, watering and fertilization management should be done well after seed emergence to make it grow well. Transplanting can be carried out after 2-3 years of cultivation, generally in October-November. If it is spring planting, it should be carried out before seedling germinates. Transplanting should select strong seedlings with strong root growth and no diseases and insect pests, transplant them according to the size of the plants, properly shape them before transplanting, cut off redundant fibrous roots, but pay attention not to break the root bark, control the row spacing of plants at 8×25 cm or 13×30 cm during transplanting, arrange the roots properly, do not twist them together, cover them with soil for 4-6 cm, and then cover them with straw or straw to preserve moisture.
4. Field management
In November, the stems and leaves of plants growing for more than one year will wither. At this time, the ground should be cleared in time, the stems and leaves should be buried deeply or burned, and at the same time, it is better to overwinter water and cover the straw or straw to facilitate overwinter. After the seedlings of Panax ginseng are unearthed in spring, they should be shaded in time to avoid being exposed to strong light and causing the seedlings to wither or die. Before emergence, they should be loosened frequently to avoid soil hardening. When there are too many weeds, they should be weeded in time. In drought, they should be watered in time. After rainy season, they should be drained in time. In the transplanting year generally do not need topdressing, in the second year after emergence to timely remove the cover grass, spread a decomposed farm manure and a small amount of calcium phosphate, through loosening, and soil mix well.
The above is the planting technology of palm ginseng compiled by the soil flow network, hoping to help you grow households.
