Strawberry is a common delicious fruit, known as the "fruit queen", rich in nutritional value, sweet and delicious, often eat strawberries and promote digestion. So, what conditions do you need to grow strawberries? Let's study together.

1. Soil

Strawberries do not have great requirements for soil, but the roots of strawberries are not deep, so when planting, it is necessary to choose sandy soil with strong water retention and deep soft soil to ensure soil permeability and control the soil PH value at a slightly sour level. strawberries should not be planted in over-sticky and potholed soil, and strawberries have high requirements for nutrition, which will have a great impact on the growth of strawberries, which will not only hinder flower bud differentiation. It will also lead to a decline in yield and poor fruit quality, so it is necessary to ensure adequate soil fertility, apply sufficient base fertilizer before planting, improve soil fertility and ensure the healthy growth of strawberries.

2. Temperature

Strawberries can quickly adapt to temperature changes, and their cold tolerance is strong. During the dormant period, strawberries can withstand a low temperature of about 10 degrees below zero, and the plants on the ground can withstand about 4 degrees, but if they are in a low temperature for a long time, it will reduce the flowering and fruiting rate of strawberries, resulting in a decline in yield, so we still have to control the temperature. Strawberries need to control the temperature at about 23 degrees in the mature period. The growth temperature of the root should be kept at about 18 degrees. If the temperature is lower than 15 degrees, the growth will be limited to a certain extent, but the temperature should not be too high. Too high temperature can easily reduce plant growth and even lead to death.

3. Moisture

The root distribution of strawberry is not deep, and its distribution depth will not exceed 20 cm, so the demand for water is relatively high. In the process of planting, it is necessary to ensure sufficient moisture, keep the soil moist at the seedling stage, and the lack of water will affect the growth of strawberries. The growth becomes weaker, the incidence of diseases and insect pests becomes higher, and the fruit should be watered in time. Sufficient water can promote fruit development, increase yield and enhance the quality of strawberries. But water should not be too much, too much will easily lead to retting roots and rotten fruit and other phenomena, when too much water is serious, the plant dies, so too much watering or long-term rainy days should pay attention to drainage.

4. Lighting

Strawberry is a kind of light-loving fruit, but it has a very strong shade tolerance, but its growth will be affected to a certain extent. Light intensity and time are closely related to the growth of strawberry. When the light is sufficient, the strawberry plant is strong, the fruit size is moderate, the color is dark, and the quality is good. Although the strawberry can grow normally if the light is insufficient, the flowering and fruiting rate will decrease significantly. Therefore, in planting to ensure that there is sufficient light for strawberry growth, but strawberry plants should not be exposed to direct sunlight for a long time to avoid burns.

The above is the introduction of strawberry planting conditions, I hope it can help the growers!
