How to grow coffee beans
Many people like to drink coffee very much. Coffee beans are the raw materials of coffee, so growing coffee beans has great economic benefits. So, what is the way to grow coffee beans?
1. Land selection and preparation
Coffee tree is a kind of plant that likes warmth, and the planting land is generally selected in the land with plenty of light, and the second is that its growth does not need too much water, and the soil fertility is not too adequate. general idle land, plains, slopes and other sandy soil with good drainage, at the same time, the permeability should also be good enough, and then sprinkle it evenly in the field according to the amount of fertilizer per mu after selecting the land, and then carry on deep ploughing. At the same time, the soil needs to be finely raked and leveled, and ditches can be opened to make beds.
2. Sowing seeds at the right time
Coffee beans are usually planted in the middle and late April of each year, and the temperature can basically reach about 15 to 20 degrees, which meets the germination requirements of coffee beans. Before sowing, we need to soak the seeds in warm water for a day, then rinse them with clean water and wrap them in wet cotton cloth. Generally, most of the seeds have sprouted after three to four days. It is possible to sow seeds. When sowing, the seeds are generally sown according to a row spacing of 60 cm, covering a thin layer of soil. If the soil is relatively dry, the soil needs to be watered once before sowing. This can promote the emergence speed of the seeds. According to normal circumstances, the seedlings will emerge in about ten days.
3. Reasonable close planting
After half a month, coffee bean seedlings can basically grow to three or four centimeters. This means that we can first pull out some of the seedlings that are very weak in the field or those that grow very densely. When the seedlings grow to about 10 to 15 centimeters, we can fix the seedlings, usually according to the distance between each plant is 30 centimeters apart.
4. Field management
About five to seven days after planting, we need to check the growth of the seedlings in the field and fill the seedlings in the field in time. After the seedlings of coffee beans grow new branches and leaves, we need to carry out appropriate intermediate ploughing and weeding to maintain the permeability of the soil. The water management of coffee beans is actually relatively simple, because the drought resistance of coffee beans is still very good. Generally, as long as there is a certain amount of humidity, coffee beans can grow normally. So we only need to water coffee beans according to the living conditions of coffee beans. Generally, after planting and watering, we need to wait until flowering, and stop watering when the fruit is nearly ripe. Since the growth of coffee beans does not need too much nutrients, in addition to base fertilizer, only one topdressing is needed. When the seedlings grow to about 30 to 40 centimeters, appropriate amounts of phosphate and ammonia fertilizer are applied. This can prevent coffee beans from lodging.
5. Pest control
The main disease of coffee beans is gray leaf spot, which is a fungal infection disease. It mainly harms the branches and leaves of coffee beans. Brown spots will appear on the leaves at the initial stage of the disease, and gray mold will appear with the gradual deterioration of the disease. Finally, it will lead to the withering and even hydration of the whole plant. We can use Dysen zinc solution to control, and the most common pests are mainly aphids. You can spray with dimethoate milk directly.
The above is the coffee bean planting method arranged by Xiaobian. I hope it can help the growers!
