Rambutan is suitable for growing in high-temperature, humid, wind-free, low-altitude mountain environment. And the annual average temperature had better be kept above 24 degrees Celsius, the temperature of the coldest month is higher than 17 degrees Celsius, its seedling stage is not tolerant to drought, the fruit growth period needs water most, and appropriate amount of water management is needed. In addition, the planting soil of rambutan is deep, rich in organic matter, loose and fertile, well drained and well ventilated when the pH value is between 4.5 and 6.5.

2. Potted planting method of rambutan

1. Extraction of rambutan seeds

Go to the market to buy the first batch of red and ripe rambutan, and leave the kernel after eating the pulp. After the pulp is eaten and the remaining kernels are cleaned up, the remaining pulp is screened again to remove the false and preserve the essence, the inferior and the superior, and select the full kernel as the seed. Those kernels that do not grow well or grow abnormally should be abandoned, because the germination rate of such kernels is very low after sowing.

two。 Seed treatment of rambutan

The selected rambutan seeds should be washed in clean water, and the residual pulp and sugar on the surface of the core should be washed away, then the washed seeds should be soaked in clean water, and the water should be changed once a day. After the seeds are fully absorbed and swollen, the water on the dry surface can be removed and sown.

3. Cultivation of rambutan

When planting rambutan, you can choose river sand to raise seedlings, then put the kernel buds down on the soil, and then gently press the seeds down, which is easier to sprout and sprout faster. At the same time, the seeds placed should maintain a certain distance to avoid too close or overlap between the seeds, otherwise the budding effect will be affected. Sowing well can cover a layer of about 2 cm of fine sand to avoid strong light. After sprouting for 2-3 weeks, it should be watered every 1-2 days, and the watering interval can be increased on rainy days.

4. Water and fertilizer management of rambutan potted plant

After the seedlings of rambutan survive, other fertilizers need to be fertilized. the first fertilization is mainly to help rambutan grow the branches and leaves of the seedlings, and then we dig holes next to the seedlings for fertilization, or we can mix water for watering. Generally, thin water and fertilizer should be applied every other month, and urea should be applied once when the following leaves grow, and the soil should be loosened and weeded with water and fertilizer when it grows to 3-5 months. The watering of rambutan potted plants is determined by keeping the soil dry and humid. if it is too dry, it can be watered every 1-2 days in summer (preferably in the morning and evening), 3-5 days in spring and autumn, and once every semimonthly in winter.
